Barbara was tossing and turning in her sleep. She shot up in her bed and looked around the room. "You know I thought it would be harder to get inside your head" I said with a smirk. Barbara looked at me, "you were in my head?" She asked, it sounded like she was scared. I looked at her, "yeah, and it was pretty easy to tap into your biggest fears, best memories, and you think about Jim Gordon 24/7" I explained. She sat up, "how are you here? I thought they would have killed you based off what you did with Penguin last night" she said. I chuckled, "I'm persuasive. Oswald is the first real friend I've had in a long time. And I haven't seen him since last night. I woke up and couldn't find him" I said. Barbara frowned, "I'm sorry. I should have told you about Theo's plans about Jerome. You could have saved him, but I was just scared" she explained. I got up from the chair and walked over to her and sat down across from her on the bed, "I understand that, we all make mistakes" I said looking into her eyes. She put her hand on my cheek and leaned forward and kissed me. She pulled away, "I don't know if you enjoyed that or not" she said. I was speechless, "I don't know either" I said. I got up and walked to the door, "Will I see you again?" She asked from behind me. I turned around and looked at her with a smile, "yeah you will" I said. I opened the door and walked out and closed the door behind me. I walked to my room and started to pack up everything and made my way to Jerome's room. I packed some of his things and took them with me. I walked through the living room. And around Tabitha and Theo's unconscious bodies, they'll wake up in about ten minutes. I walked into the elevator and left the building.

I went to the mansion Tom said my parents had, such assholes they raised me in an apartment when they had a mansion. I put all my stuff and belongings in the biggest room in the house. I walked around and saw a garage and several sports cars and the car keys. I can't believe it. I grabbed a set of car keys and clicked the unlocked button and the lights of a shiny black convertible lit up. I smiled and went over to it. I got in and started it and left the garage.

I drove and was startled by someone who ran in front of my car and I slammed on the brakes. I looked up and saw who it was, I opened the door, "we really need to stop meeting like this" I said. Selina smiled, "Nice car, where'd you get it?" She asked. I shook my head with a smirk on my face, "get in and I'll explain" I said. I got back in the car and she got in too. I put the car in drive and started driving. "So explain" Selina said. I smiled, "you're going to like this. Apparently my adopted parents weren't poor. They had a mansion and a group of people that killed and scared people for them. I visited them and they gave me the money they collected and the keys to the mansion" I explained. Selina's eyes widened, "Wow. So you're just living in the mansion alone?" she asked. I nodded, "pretty much, you wanna stay with me?" I asked. Selina smiled, "I thought you'd never ask" she said.

Selina and I entered the mansion and she looked around, "woah" she said. I chuckled, "yeah, turns out my adopted parents had good taste. I couldn't tell while they were beating me" I said. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I looked to see Selina giving me a sad look. I smiled at her, "don't worry. I gave them what they deserved" I said. She walked ahead of me, and was smiling. This was like me having a little sister, one almost as badass as me. She turned around and looked at me, "can I have any room?" She asked. I smiled, "pick which ever one you want" I said. She smiled and walked around as I followed her. We stopped at a room and walked in, it was black and grey. Selina walked around it and turned to me, "I think I like this one" she said. "Than it's yours" I said. She ran to me and hugged me, I hugged her back, "no one has ever been this nice to me" she said. I smiled, "I never really had a friend to be nice to" I said. She pulled away and ran to jump on the bed. She laughed and sighed, I could tell Selina had a hard time growing up. She was abandoned just like I was. I knew how she felt, and to feel how good it feels to sleep on a comfortable bed. I smiled seeing her happy. Her eyes started to close and I left the room.

It was the middle of the night and I had gone to my bed room and sat on the chair on the balcony I had. I had watched the sun go down when it happened. I felt someone come next to me. I looked to my right and Selina was looking at me, "have a good nap?" I asked. She nodded and sat down in the other chair next to mine. She smiled, "I guess I didn't wake up in time for the sun set" she said. I shook my head. My phone started ringing, I answered it. "Hello" I said. "Theo Galavan has been arrested and Barbara is in the hospital" Jim Gordon said on the phone. "Okay I'll be right there" I said. I got up and looked at Selina, "I have to go but I'll be back" I said. She nodded.

I walked through the hospital with my hood up and walked to the room Barbara was in. No one was near bye so I walked into her room. I closed the curtains so no one could see me with Barbara. I saw the state she was in and it wasn't good. A tear slipped through my eye and ran down my cheek. I grabbed her hand, and her skin started to heel. I tried entering her mind but I couldn't, she must be in a coma. I knelt down and kissed her forehead and ran my hand over her hair, "I'll visit you when I can" I said and left the room.
