I laid on my bed just staring at my phone. I knew I messed up. Why couldn't I do anything right? I knew I had to break up with Lizzy, but I didn't. I couldn't. I didn't want to break her heart, but I also didn't want to break Kai's.

I had liked Kai for a few months now. At first, I flirted with him as a joke, him doing it back as a joke as well. At the time, it was all fun and games. Now, my heart fluttered every time he called me "bae" or sent me a heart emoji.

I knew right then and there what I had to do. I quickly put my phone down, put on a sweater, picked my phone back up, and opened my messages.
