chapter 5: ashamed

Taeyong's pov

Since Jungwoo had mated we hadn't had a lot of chances to talk to him. Only in the classes Lucas wasn't attending Jungwoo was sitting next to us and during break Lucas wanted his omegas to stay by his side. It had got worse when Lucas had mated Chenle as well. He now seemed even more obsessed with controlling them both.

Yuta and me didn't know Chenle well. He was in a year under us. It was suprising he had had his heat already while Yuta and I hadn't had ours yet. But I honestly wasn't looking forward to it. What had happen to Jungwoo had showed me once and for all, that I didn't want an alpha. It also felt bad not to be able to comfort a friend that was suffering.

So when Yuta and I saw, that Jungwoo and Chenle were left alone by the alphas during breakfast we quickly hurried to them and set next to them.

"How are you", I whispered, as I was not trying to get anyone's attention, "has it gotten better?"

Jungwoo shook his head.

"Since Chenle...", he stopped what he was saying, looking at the boy, "I'm sorry but he really got so much worse since you are there."

Jungwoo and Lucas had been what every omega wishes for. Lucas had dated Jungwoo before mating him, he had made sure the omega was okay. In return Jungwoo also had always been atracted to Lucas. But Chenle hadn't. And that's when Lucas had gone crazy. The story of Lucas forcing Chenle to mate was true. And it was horrible.

"Chenle, I'm so sorry for you and Jungwoo, I'm sure you have to go through a lot", I said, looking at them both worried, "but it's most important to stick together."

Jungwoo and Chenle looked down. They weren't fighting, but it was obvious that Jungwoo didn't like Lucas mating another omega so fast.

"You want some bread from me?", Yuta asked Jungwoo, but our friend shook his head.

"He'll find out."

"What about you, Chenle?", Yuta asked, "Lucas isn't here and he really doesn't give you both enough."

"No, but thank you, hyung", Chenle said quietly.

I sighted. I really wanted to help my friend and Chenle as well. But there wasn't really anything me or Yuta could do. We should probably worry about ourself more.

Yuta and I were both unmated, obviously as we hadn't had our heat yet, and this school really was horrible when it came to omega and alpha relationships.

Actually the whole world was horrible when it came to how alphas treated omegas.

"Where is Lucas anyways?", I asked.

"Johnny wants to tell him something and we aren't allowed to listen", Jungwoo answered and than suddenly looked at Yuta and me worried, "today Lucas mentioned you though."

"Me?" I hadn't even been aware about the fact Lucas knew me and I didn't like it.

Jungwoo nodded. "You and Yuta... Lucas said something like... Like Johnny wants you... As mates..."

I pressed my lips together. I didn't like people talking behind my bag, like I was some object you really want to own.

"He's a friend of Lucas?", I asked, "doesn't seem like someone I'd mate... But then again I might not have a choice in this..."

"He won't dare to lay a fucking finger on you", Yuta said, his eyes filled with anger, causing Chenle to laugh.

"What will you be able to do?", he said, "I also was with my friends when it happened. And Johnny can't be as bad as Lucas."
