Cirilea Ceryumena was born in the year 214 of the First Era, in the city of Minara, in the lands of Astin-e-Lian.

It was a city of splendor, and its great White Tower was the highest that could be found in this world, built for the purpose of observing the stars of the sky.

In that tower lived a strange woman named Aradila.

Everyone believed that she had lost her mind, as she devoted her years to study the movement of the stars, and prophesied things that no one believed, at least at the beginning.

Aradila predicted the Ruin of the World of Energies, and later, the arrival of Samanar, the Bearer of Darkness, and the fall of Minara itself.

Cirilea's youthful years passed in peace, and her greatest aspirations were to become the Mistress of the White Tower.

She was one of the few people who paid attention to what Aradila said, because she believed that she was very wise.

Talking to this strange woman was difficult, and Cirilea wanted to do it.

When she finally did so in 233, Aradila showed her that she did not predict the future, but she predicts the inevitable through her observations.

After the arrival of the Shadow Lieutenant and the rise of the Corrupts, Cirilea paid more and more attention to Aradila, as she hoped that she could predict something useful for the survival of both Minara and Cilirima.

Aradila predicted the fall of Minara ten years earlier, but the attack did not come, and no one believed her.

The years passed until the disgrace arrived in the year 246.

Cirilea was in the river Nochi enjoying the arrival of twilight when she saw a vision in its waters.

The dead face of Aradila appeared in its waters, and fearing the worst, Cirilea ran as fast as she could to the White Tower.

Once there, Aradila was about to die.

The years had passed, and she was already very old.

When Aradila saw her, the only person who had believed her despite everything, she smiled.

It was late, because the armies of Samanar were very close to the gates of Minara, in the darkness of the night.

Aradila died, and the guards of the Tower ran to help the defenders of the city.

Cirilea stayed there, and from the windows of the high tower she could see the shadow of the Lieutenant, and terrible images were reproduced in her mind that left her stunned on the ground, and with indescribable fear.

Cirilea closed the door of the room, and there she remained.

The Battle of Minara back then meant the fall of the city, and there were no survivors.

None... except Cirilea.

So, Samanar himself climbed to the top of the White Tower, and there he discovered Cirilea crying in terror.

The Bearer of Darkness did not kill her, but he left her locked in the tower, and she would be his prisoner.

There was no escape for Cirilea, her fate was sealed.

Cirilea lived many things in that tower, because nobody knew that she was the only survivor of Minara.

It would be a long time before someone managed to rescue her memory, and give to the world what she would discover in her years of captivity.

And great were her discoveries, because throughout twenty years, her diary collected much of the behavior of the enemy, both of the Lieutenant and of the Shadows that came from the cosmos.
