Nestelia Derova, the Discoverer of Saminelam

Nestelia Derova was born in the year 240 of the First Era, in the city of Sadoram, in the continent of Dos'inam.

She lived away from the war, and her childhood was full of lies about the evil that threatened the world of Estel'inam.

Her parents wanted to protect her, but in year 248 they could no longer hide it, since her father was recruited for the army.

In those days, Niniran the Pestilent had arisen in the northwest of the great continent of Estel'inam, very far from where Nestelia lived, but the Corrupts had begun to arise in all parts of the world.

There was a battle on the banks of the River Pena in 254, and it was there that her father ended up dead.

With the passing of time, Nestelia had become more interested in traveling east.

She had the feeling that something wonderful was there.

Thus, in the year 262, Nestelia went to the sea and travelled alone in search of the unknown.

The journey was enjoyable, and she came to an island, which was called Sil'inam.

The landscape of the island was the most beautiful that Nestelia could contemplate, and it was there where she found the Replica, which received the name of Pensilam.

And near the Replica, she found a tunnel.

She went inside, and she thought that she would need a torch to light the way.

But it was not necessary, since the minerals found there gave off their own light.

Nestelia called that place Saminelam, the Glowing Caverns, and she collected a mineral so she could show off its wonder at Sadoram.

However, when she returned, when she showed the mineral to the people of the city, it was no longer shining.

Nestelia concluded that perhaps the minerals only glowed inside the caves.

Almost nobody believed her, but there were some who did, and with them she made numerous expeditions into the caverns for various years.

The misfortune ended up happening in year 264, because on one occasion when Nestelia was preaching her discoveries, a man approached her, apparently badly injured, asking for help.

The man, who turned out to be a Corrupt, ended up vomiting blood and perishing right there.

He was infected with the terrible Red Death, the disease that plagued the continent of Estel'inam since the emergence of the Shadow Lieutenant.

Nestelia could not wash herself in the city, and she had to go to the sea to do it, but it was too late, since she was already infected.

A few days later she began to experience the symptoms, and soon death came to her amid terrible suffering, until when she had no strength left and became unconscious, her light faded away.

The news of the death of Nestelia spread, and they ended up burying her in Sil'inam, so that she would never be forgotten for her wonderful discoveries.
