The 'Date'

She liked her, but she already had someone in her life how could she possibly like someone else it's just not right. What if she find out about these feelings will there friendship become all weird or would it be like nothing happened. Well whatever they decide to do will either make or break them.

Amy's POV

As I drove up in the parking lot hoping to find a space at the entrance so I wouldn't have too far to walk in these heels. I don't drive in heels, sometimes I don't even drive in shoes, it's a thing I do.
I placed my heels on, and took up my purse from the passenger seat and got out, I tried to pull down my dress where it isn't as short as it looks. I really love this dress, and I felt like I had to look like somebody's daughter infront of Jess for once. A nice black off the shoulder pencil dress, and it's short, my type of grab and go outfit.
Ha, that sounds weird.

I spot Jessica at the entrance to the restaurant and I quickly closed the car and tried to run to her without falling on my face.

I reached up to her and without saying a word I grabbed her hand, and dragged her in the restaurant. People started to look at us when we entered and I must say I wouldn't blame them, two nice young ladies behaving like cats fighting over a ball of yarn.

We found a seat in the extreme corner. And started to look at the menu.
I'm still not sure why we are here, I could have talked to her at the house or anywhere else but in this place, really brings back memories.

I decide to break the awkward silence and tapping on the phone screen by asking her the question of the night.
Well questions.

"Why haven't I met this Alex if yours" I made sure to put the air quotations.

She looked shocked that I asked. "I don't whenever he's not busy"

She's lying, why doesn't trust me. "Jessica!?"

"Amy?"

"I know you're lying. I know this Alex is a girl"  I decide to say in the calmest way possible,not that I'm upset or anything.

"What!? How'd you.."

I stopped her before she could finish "Jess, I'm Amy I know stuff and besides it takes I'm to know one. And I don't mind I care about you and I just want to know that you are happy"

"That's just it Amy I'm not happy"

What she isn't happy Alex is so pretty and she seems nice. "What do you mean your not happy"

She sighed and held her head down and played in her food while I stuffed my face with mine.
"I lied to you Amy, and I'm sorry"

"About what your parents? Yeah I know u lied I just don't know why and what's the truth" I paused "I know you lied because I don't have great parents so when someone else talked about there's I guess I can tell if they're lying or not, it's creepy I know"

"Amy my parents are dead, and apperantly so is my sister."

"What do you mean apperantly?"

"She's alive and well, she just hates me. Why? She blames me for our parents death."

I'm confused what? How? "How are you supposed to be responsible for that?"

"Well-" she started and told me the entire story, I didn't know all of this was on her mind everyday.

Stuttering I decide to say something "Wow Jess I- I don't know what to say"

"It's ohkay you don't have to say anything, and please don't ask to talk to my sister I prefer that she isn't around all she did was judge me anyway." She smiled and decided to take a sip of that nice wine.

"Well if you say so puddin', so are u gonna eat that or should I eat it for you?" She slapped me on my hand "I'll take that as a no".

We were stuck in traffic because this crazy ass woman didn't want to come to my place, and I had to take her to her girlfriend's place.

"You live to make me miserable don't you? It's not too late to come by the house you know"

"No, I hate your brother and I need to get my things from Alex's. I'm going to break up with her." She seemed unbothered just scrolling through her phone.

"What? Why? Where are you gonna stay?" I can tell she heard the confusion in my tone.

"I'll stay at my aunt's until I get somewhere, I've been saving to get a place anyway, and I'm hoping to be on my best behavior so I don't get fired"

"One you ain't going back to your aunt's two you for sure ain't getting fired. Why? My cousin owns the place where you work, and let's just say if you get fired I'll run the place" I paused and laughed I couldn't help it "oh and your staying in the spare room across the hall from mine."

"But Amy I don't"

"Just until you get back on your feet. I love you too. And don't think if running away I'll find you"

We both burst into laughter like two teenagers who just saw a cute boy smile at them. Crazy I know.
