Chapter 41: Hug it Out

Raw June 25th

Vickie Guerrero kicked Monday Night Raw by reminding the WWE Universe that the WWE Board of Directors appointed her Interim GM. Her first order of business was announcing a Three-Way Elimination Match.

While AJ watched from a backstage monitor, Punk, Daniel, and Kane went to war. As the battle continued, Kane went on the offensive. But of course, AJ had to make an appearance, skipping to ringside. Capitalizing on the distraction, Punk blasted Kane with the GTS to eliminate him. But Bryan quickly swooped in with a kick to Punk's head to pick up the victory.

After the match, Vickie announced that Daniel Bryan was the new number one contender for the WWE Championship and she announced on Twitter that the match would take place at Money in the Bank:

Onscreen: 

"Hi!" Bella heard a voice call out to her as she was reading a book on one of the crates backstage.

She put her book down and took off her glasses to find none other than Aj Lee.

"Um, hi?" she replied, almost like a question. She was genuinely that confused. Why was Aj of all people talking to her?

"I saw you sitting here, and I wanted to say hi," she toyed with a lock of her hair.

"I see."

"What are you doing?" Isn't it obvious?

"I'm reading."

"What are you reading?"

Bella held up her book so Aj could see the title.

"That's a good one."

"So Aj, what's going on?" Bella asked with a budding smirk.

"I'm glad you asked," she smiled, "I was just walking around backstage not really doing much."

"You like to walk around backstage for fun?"

"I don't like going in the divas' locker room," Aj shrugged.

"You know, that actually makes sense," Bella chuckled.

"Really?" Aj asked, starry eyed.

"Yeah, I'm never in there."

"I noticed," Aj said.

"Have you?"

"Mhm," she smiled, "Can I have a hug?"

"Excuse me?" Bella asked. And before she could protest, Aj wrapped her arms around her in a tight hug, planting a kiss on her cheek. 

"Okay Aj, I'll see you later," Bella pat the top of her head before walking away. She was the weirdest girl, Bella thought to herself.

"Boo!"

Bella jumped up in surprise before she turned around to see Punk, "Oh it's you."

"I missed you too," he greeted her with a kiss on the cheek, causing her to roll her eyes, "I saw your little segment with Aj."

"Yeah, I'm stealing your girl," Bella teased, poking him in the stomach, causing him to chuckle. 

"Please get her off my hands," he said wrapping his arm around her shoulders, "I actually have this other girl I've been trying to take out?"

"Oh really?"
