Wrestlemania

Bella watched Punk's match from his locker room. She was too nervous to watch in front of or around people, even Randy.

Punk was putting so much pressure on himself to deliver a show stopping performance to prove that he was worthy of that main event spot. He was driving himself mad, but he wouldn't let anyone know it was getting to him. That was just Punk. He was similar to Bella in that respect. Neither of them liked letting people know how they were feeling.

But she knew he would deliver. He always did.

Eventually the silence made her feel uneasy, so she decided to FaceTime Colt around ten minutes into the match. She could use his humor to lighten up the mood in the empty room.

"He's doing so well," she mumbled. He had control of the match early on, hitting Jericho with hard knee strikes and kicks in the corner.

"Are you surprised?"

"Not even a little bit. Just relieved."

"Fair."

She had a proud smile on her face. Throughout the match Jericho commented on Punk's family, trying to enrage him, but Punk stayed focus and continued handling Jericho. He was so strong.

"So," Colt started, "I heard the interview he did the other day."

"Did you?"

"Mhm," she could just imagine the smile on his face, "It was cute."

"What do you mean?"

"Weren't you there?" he laughed.

"Yeah, I was there, but I couldn't really hear him. They were in a separate room."

"So you didn't hear what he was saying?" he asked, as Punk hit a roundhouse kick.

"Nope."

"He spoke about you."

"Did he?"

"Mhm."

"And what exactly was said?"

"You should see for yourself."

"Colt," she groaned, "don't be a lemon."

"A lemon?" he snorted.

"Just tell me. I'm too busy watching his match to look it up." She cringed as Jericho hit Punk with a suplex over the top rope to the floor.

"Fine," Colt rolled his eyes at his stubborn friend, "well, first the interviewer asked if you guys were together."

"What?" she laughed.

"It's not that big of a stretch."

"It is that big of a stretch."

"You guys totally act like a couple, minus the kissing and stuff."

"We do not."

"You do."

"How?" she asked, genuinely curious as to what her friend would respond. Right after she asked that Punk hit Jericho with a suicide dive.

"You travel together. You sleep in the same bed sometimes. You go on dates."

"We do not go on dates."

"Who pays?"

"He does." The two men made their way back in the ring, where Punk attempted a springboard, but Jericho countered with another Code Breaker. Bella held her breath until Punk kicked out.

"Exactly."

"He makes more money than I do."

"And you both make more money than I do, but Punk doesn't pay for me when we eat."

"That doesn't mean anything," Bella sighed, "Besides, he's dating Amy."

"Dating is a loose term."

"He took her as his date for the Hall of Fame!"

"He promised her months ago that he would. You know he would've preferred to take you."

"We don't know that."

"You're the only girl Punk can tolerate for extended periods of time."

"Stop planting seeds in my head Colt," she groaned.

"I'm not Bella. I just think you guys are in denial."

"I'm not in denial," she told him, "I'm basically one of the guys. Punk is like my brother."

"Oh shut up Vigne."

"I'm gonna beat you up when I see you Colt, I swear."

"Yeah right." he chuckled, as Punk locked in the anaconda vice, "Let's go!"

She laughed at her friend's reaction, but she too was ecstatic to see Punk pick up the win, "Alright, I love you Colty. I wanna go wait for him at the gorilla."

"Love you too Bells. Think about what I said."

"Yeah yeah yeah," she chuckled, standing up from the couch, "I'll talk to you tomorrow."

"Bye! Give Punk a kiss for me."

She hung up on him and rolled her eyes as she approached the gorilla.

She waited there for a minute before Punk got backstage. There were a ton of people around her, but she was the only person he wanted to see.

A big smile formed on his face as she came into his line of vision, holding her arms out for a hug.

He happily embraced her, taking in the moment. He was genuinely happy. She rubbed his back as she told him, "You were amazing."

"Well, I am the Best in the World."

"You are," she pat him on the back as they walked back to his locker room, "and you have the biggest ego in the world."

"You never let my ego be," he fake pouted.

They happily walked down the hall of the arena and entered his room. He immediately laid on the couch, exhausted.

"Do you want to just go back to your bus?" she asked, sensing how tired he was.

"You don't want to watch your new buddy Big match John fight?"

"Oh shut up. I only cared about one match tonight."

"Aw. She likes me."

"I was actually talking about Kane and Randy," she teased.

"Oh really?" he asked, grabbing her arm and pulling her onto the couch, near his waist.

She traced his straight edge tattoo on his stomach, causing him to straighten his spine, "Mhm."

"We should probably get back to the bus," he sat up pretty quickly.

"Okay," she shrugged, standing up.

She grabbed a sweatshirt and some shorts for him to put on, passing them to him.

"I'm gonna go find Randy and say goodbye," she told him, as he got dressed.

"Why?" he groaned, as she left the room.

She walked down the hall to his locker room, knocking on the door.

He opened it right away with a smile on his face, "I was hoping you'd stop by." He looked surprised to see her.

"I just wanted to tell you how well you did in your match," she poked him on his side.

"I wish I won, but thank you."

"Of course. But I know you have the next one in the bag."

"Let's hope so," he tilted his head to the side, "What are you about to do?"

"I was about to go back on the bus with Punk, probably watch a movie."

"Oh," his smile faltered. They were always together.

"But you owe me dinner this week. Alright Orton?" she winked at him.

"You bet," he smiled as she walked away, shaking his head.
