Raw before Wrestlemania
"This week is always so crazy," Punk said as Bella wrapped his wrists for him in his locker room. He sat on the top of his couch and she stood in between his legs. Bella already had a match earlier against Natalya, and she made her tap. Punk proudly watched her match from the gorilla with Kofi. And as usual, Bella had her fan club of thirsty superstars watching her every move. Punk found it pretty obnoxious, but Bella paid them no mind.
"I can only imagine," she replied, "and you're defending your title against Chris Jherico!"
"The biggest asshole in the world, and that's coming from me."
"Yeah if you can call him an asshole, he must really suck."
"Oh shut up."
She laughed at her friend, "Well I'm excited to see you kick his ass. He deserves it." Bella noticed that Chris had been giving Punk an unnecessarily hard time during their feud. He was attacking his values and his family instead of his wrestling ability or something of the sort, like any decent human being would. Bella wished she could give Chris Jericho a piece of her mind, but she knew it wasn't her place.
"That he does," Punk nodded his head, "And although I'm excited to deliver a brutal ass kicking, I'm still pissed that even with the championship Vince didn't think I could main event."
"He's an idiot. It baffles me."
"He wants me to mid-card so bad."
"No matter how many times he tries to bury you, you always come out on top."
"This whole match just feels like a waste," Punk told her honestly. Obviously Jericho was a really talented wrestler, but Punk was getting sick and tired of Vince handing opportunity after opportunity to has beens. He didn't believe that Chris deserved a title opportunity at all.
"Stop," Bella pouted, "this is a dream match in the making."
"I wish I could see it like that. But I still feel like I'm being screwed."
She cupped his face, with her small hands and said, "I know. You deserve that main event. But you're gonna do so well in your match and they're gonna wish they put you in the main event."
He fixed his gaze on her eyes, while she spoke, "Thank you Bells," and pulled her in for a hug.
"Come on. I'll walk you to the gorilla," she held her hands out to help him up and wrapped her arm around his waist. They walked to the gorilla together, just like that.
Randy watched from a distance as Bella and Punk walked down the hall. He narrowed his eyes to see them better. When they got to the gorilla position, he was leaning over so they were the same height, and she had her hands on his shoulders. Randy couldn't quite make out what they were saying, but from where he was standing, he could see that Bella was talking and the dopey smile on Punk's face that only appeared around her. Then she pulled him in for a hug and gave him a thumbs up before his music began to play. She watched him walk out to his music with a proud look on her face before she turned around and began walking back in the direction they came from.
When Randy saw Bella heading his way, he quickly pulled out his phone and pretended like he was looking at something on it.
"Randy, hey!" she greeted him with a warm smile.
"Hey, Bella," he awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. He hoped she didn't see him spying on her. But nonetheless, he was happy to see her.
"I was just about to watch Punk's match in catering. Care to join me?"
"Of course," he smiled.
The two of them walked down the hall to catering. They headed to the nearest table where John was sitting.
"Hey guys," he waved.
They all said their hello's before sitting on each side of John.
"You want anything to eat?" Randy asked them, as he got up to get some food.
"Any fruit they have," Bella replied
"I'm good." John said.
"Are you excited for your title opportunity on Sunday?" Bella questioned.
"Yeah. It honestly never gets old competing for the gold."
She wasn't sure if he intended to rhyme or not but it made her chuckle because it reminded her of his Doctor of Thuganomics persona. John thought she had such a cute laugh, "I love your laugh."
"It gets annoying after a while," she joked, causing him to smile.
Randy returned to the table with a plate filled with some of every fruit they had, "I didn't know which fruit you wanted, so I got a little of everything."
"Thanks, Randy."
He sat back down, this time next to Bella instead of John.
The three friends talked about and compared their schedules for the upcoming week of Wrestlemania. Obviously John and Randy had much busier schedules than Bella because they've been bigtime superstars for years, and she was a rookie. Bella didn't have much to do besides a couple signings and a few interviews, so she planned on accompanying Punk to some of his, so she wouldn't have to sit around doing nothing.
"You can also come hang out with us any time," John suggested.
"I might just take you up on that offer when Punk gets tired of me," she grinned. She was half-joking, but they all knew Punk could never get tired of her.
She looked up at the screen to see that Punk had won his match. She was super happy for her best friend. Ever since he found out that we wouldn't be main eventing Wrestlemania like he thought he would, he'd been feeling a little down. So she was glad he picked up the win and had some momentum going into the Payperview.
"Like that'll ever happen," Randy laughed.
"I'm telling you guys. Once you get to know me, I can be so irritating."
"Yeah, I just hate it when you quietly sit and read books. So annoying," Randy said sarcastically.
"Oh, and when she sits by herself and writes. She's actually the worst," John added.
She hit the two men on their shoulders and rolled her eyes, "Now, I might be getting sick of you two."
"Bells," she heard Punk call her name from the door. She motioned for him to come to the table, "You were incredible!"
"Thanks," his lips curled upward. Anything Bella said could bring a smile to his face, and it seemed like everyone noticed this except for her.
"What are you about to do?" she asked him, placing her hand underneath her chin and resting her elbow on the table.
"I was gonna head back to the bus. Wanna come?"
"Yeah sure," she nodded, "Randy. John. Let's do something tomorrow."
"I'm down."
"Same here."
"Okay, bye!" she exclaimed as Punk wrapped his sweaty tattooed arm around her shoulders and led her to the locker room.
John turned to look at his best friend once Punk and Bella were out of sight, "I don't get them."
"You're telling me," Randy snorted.
"I've been trying to figure out their dynamic."
"It doesn't make sense," Randy tried not to look as annoyed as he felt, "he obviously has feelings for her."
"I don't know Randy. Maybe they're just best friends like they say they are."
"Dude, they travel together on his bus."
"Yeah, I forgot about that."
"If she were to travel with me on my bus," Randy took in a sharp breath, "she would not be calling me her friend."
"Can't blame you there," John chuckled, patting his friend on the back.
