Randy and Bella rode back to the stadium from the game on his bus. He wasn't expecting to have that much fun with her, and she wasn't expecting to have any fun with him at all, but they both surprised each other. He was kind, funny, and charming- nothing like Punk described. And she was genuine, hilarious, and super smart.
The game had pretty much consisted of Bella heckling players, schooling Randy on her knowledge of NBA history, and throwing popcorn at each other.
The ride back was just as exciting as the game, as the two new friends got to know each other better by way of embarrassing stories.
"You seriously dressed up as Cinderella for Halloween?" she cracked up.
Randy threw his head back laughing. He had been telling Bella about his favorite moments with his daughter, and somehow this one came up, "Alana insisted." Randy had been super candid about his relationship with his daughter, and Bella loved kids. Randy was happy he had someone to talk to about his daughter, whom he missed dearly.
He wasn't embarrassed to talk about the one Halloween where he dressed up as Cinderella while Alana dressed up as Belle, and Bella found it adorable. He seemed like such a great father.
"That's so cute Randy," Bella told him honestly. Attending the game with him showed her a completely different side of him.
"You should have seen it."
"Please tell me there are pictures."
"Unfortunately I burned them all."
"Damn."
"But if I ever dress up as another princess, you'll be the first to receive a picture."
"I better be," she grinned, hitting him on the shoulder.
"What about you? What's the most embarrassing costume you've worn?"
Bella blushed and Randy began to smirk, "Let me see the pictures."
"No!" she yelled.
"Oh come on. It can't be any more embarrassing than mine."
"You'd be surprised," she told him, with a cute smirk on her face. He really enjoyed the banter they were having through out the night. He loved learning more about her.
"I doubt it," he told her, as she began to scroll through her pictures, looking for the dreaded image. But he had no idea how embarrassing the costume was, especially now.
"You asked for it," she said, as she bit her lip nervously, about to show him her phone before pulling it back, "But no laughing. And you can't tell anyone about this okay?"
"You have my word."
"Okay," she said passing him her phone while closing her eyes.
"No way," he whispered.
"I know. It's terrible."
"No, it's hilarious!" he laughed, "You have to show this to John."
"My God, no," she reacted, covering her face with her hands. She had never shown anyone the image of her dressed up as John Cena for Halloween, but not You can't see me Cena. She was dressed as Doctor of Thuganomics Cena. She wore a Celtics jersey with a snapback on her head. She paid attention to detail, sporting the obnoxiously large lock on a chain, wrist bands, and of course, the iconic knee-length jean shorts.
"Bella, this is incredible," he told her, trying to hold back laughter, "Who's the girl next to you?"
"That's my best friend Jade."
