ROSS POV

The Elder council later that day came to see Donna and I. Elder Alpha Ross said, "I am happy you have accepted this pup no matter what. To this day we never had a paternity test done. We accepted Samson as ours. However, their is one thing different. Samson was not first born. The first born is always declared as next leader. If the pup is born and has no alpha blood the pack will become weak."

"Why is this a problem? This pup will not be first born."

"That maybe technically true, but it was pointed out an ancient law about blended families of Alphas. 

When an Alpha remarries we know the council abolished the laws about killing former pups. What was pointed out is there was another law. If the Alpha and Luna went through a blending ceremony like you did their first pup from a previous Union would still become alpha. However if the Alpha had a pup from the second mate Union and they blended their first born would also be declared an Alpha. He would be given land and money to start his own pack."

"You mean our children would actually when of age be one leaders of 3 different packs?"

"Yes, this here lies the problem. You both accepted this unborn pup as yours."

"Yes, you and mom witness it. Why is that a problem?"

"The law never took into consideration that the first born pup might not have Alpha blood it it. If that is the case this new pack will not an Alpha leader if he is not got Alpha blood in him, but as soon as you accepted the pup as yours he or she was given the land and money opportunity. It will be doomed to fail without a true Alpha lineage. They check Franklin's ancestry and there is no one from it that had any alpha blood. If the baby is his it will be deemed a failure."

I growl, "no child of mine will be called a failure before he is even born."

My dad continues with a painful voice, "The council needs to know if the pup has alpha blood in it. If it does not they will have to declare this pup a bastard an ineligible to inherit. Then your next pup will have that right."

"WHAT? This pup is mine and no one will declare it a bastard and make it be shunned by our pack. Anyone dares to shun my pup I will personally rip them apart." Then Donna touched my arm and I called down. I gathered her in my arms as she started to cry.

"Good we agree no grandpup of ours will be shunned. Now we need to figure out a solution to this mess. I already knew what you would say and already demanded a hearing on this matter. The hearing will take place on packland. The king and prince planned on being here in three weeks for Mountain Moon Pack officially moving here and Bloodmoon Pack guiding them. They are now coming in 2-1/2 weeks. The hearing will be done before the ceremony of the new pack.

Doctor Mason said, "There is one thing we do have to do immediately. We will do an ultrasound and go in and take fluid from the pup sack. We then will have the council lab compare the DNA to you and Anthony. If the pup comes back yours the matter is dropped. If it comes back his then the matter goes to court and we will need a solution."

I growl and Dr Mason ask, "do you want the Elders to stay to see the ultrasound? Also, I will need to have one of the Royal Guards witness to prove we are not tampering with evidence. I can bring in one of the she-wolf guards to be witnesss.

I growl again and said, "bring her in. You all have been there to guide me through the years. I do not mind if you stay, but this choice I leave for my mate. She has had enough choices recently taken away. I will not take this away."
