"What are we doing here?" I ask Eli as he parks in the lot in front of the Kohl Centre, "you'll see" he replies as he reaches back to grab a duffle before getting out of the Jeep. I shrug before getting out of the car to follow Eli to the entrance of the arena. I watch him unlock the door with a set of keys, "how..."he peers at me with a smile, "I pulled some strings" I bite my lip as he takes my hand pulling me into the empty building. He leads me down a flight of stairs before we walk down the familiar hallway that will take us to the locker rooms. I look behind us as Eli unlocks the Badgers locker room, "am I allowed here?" he smiles before pulling me into the room, my eyes light up at the amazing locker room, "it's pretty cool" I nod at his statement as I start walking further into the room full of stalls. An arm suddenly comes around me pulling me to a stop, "watch the logo gorgeous" I blink before looking down to see the badgers logo right at the tip of my shoes, "oops" I mumble, Eli kisses my head before taking my hand to pull me across the room. "This is my stall" I smile up at him before taking a seat bringing my legs up to cross them, Eli laughs as he crouches in front of me, dropping the duffle before unzipping it.
"I've wanted to do this since the first game I saw here" I say as I skate around the ice with a smile on my face, "well aren't you lucky that your boyfriend is on the team and can get this ice time" Eli exclaims as he follows me, I nod as I skate backwards to look at him. Eli speeds up to grab me around the waist, I giggle as he slows us down so that we come to a stop in the middle of the ice. "How'd you learn to skate like this?" I move my arms to his shoulders my hands behind his neck, "my dad taught me, but then I saw Danny learning to play hockey so I joined in wanting to be like him" he places his hands on my lower back pulling me flush to him, "you never told me you could skate" I shrug, "you never asked and you never took me skating until now" he nods before lowering his head to press his lip to mine. My fingers gently curl into his hair as his hold on me tightens with our lips moving in sync, after a few seconds I pull away with a smile, "as much as I would love to continue, i'm cold, I need to skate around more" he laughs before letting me go, I shrug before I charge down the ice to warm up.

Later when we're sitting in the locker room again i'm smiling, my hair is tangled and out of its ponytail as I untie the skates on my feet. "I need to take you skating way more often, i've never seen you so happy" I look over at him while biting my lip, he brings a hand up moving some hair behind my ear, "i'm definitely the happiest when I get to skate" he smiles before dropping his head to get his lips to mine, my fingers stop untying my laces as one of my hands moves to the side of his face, Eli pulls away confusing me, "not here darling, I know too much about the things that have happened in this room" I nod but don't ask as we switch into our outdoor shoes. Once Eli has everything back in the duffle he takes my hand pulling me out of the locker room, locking it before practically running the rest of the way out of the arena. When the building is locked we get back into Eli's Jeep before he drives out of the parking lot, "where are we going?" he smiles "a place you'll like" I sit in my seat with a sigh, knowing that he won't tell me the specifics.
"Can I take this off?" I ask Eli touching the piece of fabric covering my eyes, "not yet Anna" he replies with his hands on my hips. We come to a stop confusing me, hands come to my hands tugging me forward gently, I hear a door softly shut, "okay" he says before the fabric loosens and falls from my eyes. I gasp at the sight in front of me, my gaze goes to the path of rose petals leading to the queen sized bed, also covered in petals, in the middle of the room, "I thought that a night just the two of us would be a nice change from my dorm and your house" I spin to him with a smile, "I love it, thank you" he smiles, "anything for you beautiful" I bite my lip but Eli tugs at my lip, "none of that, there's nothing to worry about tonight" I nod and he cradles the sides of my face before pressing his lips to mine. My hands move to his chest as he tugs me impossibly closer moving his hands to my hips as I relax into him. Eli suddenly lifts my feet off of the ground making me move my arms around his neck to keep steady as he walk to the bed where he drops me gently onto the petals, I smile up at him, "I love you" he grins before taking his shirt off, "and I love you darling" I watch him climb onto the bed where he hovers over me.
The rest of the evening is spent in our own world with no distractions as we take advantage of the hotel room and all of it's included perks that are never seen in either of our places.
