Everyone ran from the monster. Almost as soon as they got away they saw giant eyeballs with leathery wings flying straight for them. They all drew their blasters and Kanan and Ezra ignited their lightsabers. As they flew closer Ezra and Kanan could sense that there was something more sinister to them. Sabine saw one break off of the mass and disappear in the city. It re emerged with a statue of a person. Ezra could sense what had happened.

"What happened?" She asked him.

"That statue," he said, "it was a person."

Sabine didn't hesitate to start firing at the mass of eyes flying toward them. They started dropping, but it was nowhere close to delaying them. Everyone else followed her lead and fired at the mass. The eyes weren't being stopped, bu they were slowed a little bit.

"We cannot continue this way," Thrawn said, "we must look for another way there!"

"Split up!" Zeb said, "They can't get us all if we aren't together!"

"Good plan. I shall delay the enemy."

The Ghost crew split away from Thrawn. Ezra and Sabine ran back into town, Chopper and Zeb to the Shack, and Kanan and Hera to the forest. Ezra chanced a glance back and saw Thrawn still firing on the eyes. One hit him with a red beam of light. His body slowly turned to stone from his feet up. After a couple seconds he was a statue. Ezra and Sabine ducked into the first building they came to. After they caught their breath, Ezra used the force to sense if there was anything else with them. There was nothing.

"What do we do now?" Sabine asked.

"I don't know," Ezra replied, "to defeat Bill, we need to get to the pyramid with everyone else, but he knows we're coming! We lost!"

"You don't believe that. I know you don't."

She placed her hand on his back. He looked at her, trying to smile. They sat in the building for several more hours. Their wrist comms started beeping.

"Ghost crew come in," said the voice of Hera, "Kanan and I are back on the Ghost. What are your current positions?"

"Chopper and I are back in the Shack," Zeb's voice replied, "we got chased by a few of those eyes, but when they got within about ten feet of the building, they just bounced away."

"Huh," Kanan said, "strange. Ezra, Sabine where are you two?"

"We're in the town," Ezra said, "the eyes haven't found us."

"Try to get back to the Shack," Hera said, "we'll meet up there."

"Copy that," Sabine said, "moving out."

"Good luck," Chopper beeped, "we'll be waiting."

Ezra and Sabine exited the building and looked at the direction of the Shack. In the area were probably hundreds of eyes.

"How are we getting past them?" Sabine asked.
