Chapter V - Remnant

Dark Force HQ

Nick: I don't know where you got that crazy idea from Summers. Alexis: I'm just saying it wouldn't hurt to check. Nick: Azrael is dead and he has been since 2013! Alexis: What if he isn't dead, what if he faked his death and he's been in hiding waiting for the right moment. Nick: I oversaw and worked closely with Walker and Gilson on that mission so if anyone would know if he was alive or faked his death it would be me! Now go, I have more important business to attend to.

Alexis leaves and runs into Ricky

Ricky: What was that all about? Alexis: Just following up on what Javier said before he died. Ricky: The Azrael thing. Alexis: Yeah. Ricky: Wouldn't hurt to check it out problem is, if it turns out to be a wild goose chase we would have wasted numerous resources for nothing, maybe that's why Reeves doesn't want to follow up on it. Alexis: Well you can never be to careful. Bradley: Alexis, Rick, you guys should see this.

Alexis and Ricky see the tv and see a heavily occupied building blowing up as well as seeing it outside

The feed cuts to a man

Ricardo: Do I have your attention now? This is a message to the Dark Force,  1 month ago Javier was killed and the cartel was eliminated from Deacon City, or so you thought. We have been here plotting, waiting for the right time to take back the city and to free it from the grip of the Dark Force.

The feed pans to show a squad of Dark Force agents tied

Ricardo: Cease all operations immediately.. and for everyday you're still active people will die! Starting now!

Ricardo kills the agents and the feed ends

Bradley: Whoever this guy is he's dangerous and involved with the cartels. Alexis: What's our first move? Bradley: I don't know yet, he came out of nowhere and caught us by surprise. Alexis: He's already killed Dark Force agents, who knows what else he's planning on doing. 

At home Alexis tells Jason

Jason: Cartel remnants still in the city huh, yeah The Dragon told me about that. He's been hunting them down, maybe we could get something from him. Alexis: You have his number? Jason: Nope but I know where to find him.

The Dragons hideout

Jason: Hey you in here? Hey! Alexis: Look's like no one's here.

Jason and Alexis look around and see pictures of Liara and James

Jason: This must be his family...

Jason looks around and see's more pictures and spots a picture of The Dragon with Nightwing, Martian Manhunter and Jay Garrick

Jason: Shit... Alexis: Looks like your friend has friend's in high places. Jason: Dick Grayson... no wonder he knew who I was.

Jake enters

Jake: I see you've guys made yourselves at home. Jason: You know these guys? Jake: Yeah, Nightwing, Martian Manhunter and Jay Garrick among a few others. Nightwing and Martian Manhunter are actually the people who trained me. He trained you to didn't he. Jason: Yeah in the past. Jake: So did you guys break into my hideout for fun or this something about that guy who just executed Dark Force agents on live tv? Alexis: We were hoping you would help us. Jake: Funny cause I was just about to go to you guys.

Jake tosses a folder

Jake: I pulled some strings and got a name Ricardo Reyes, he was one of the survivors of Javier's cartel that was locked up but recently he escaped and here we are. Alexis: Where could we find him? Jake: The picture was taken at Javier's old base. Jason: It wouldn't hurt to check. Alexis: What can I do? Jason: Rally up your team. We'll signal you if he's there and then you and your team can charge in and take him out because if he's there then no doubt he has more men inside. 

Dark Force HQ

Alexis: Ricky, Patterson, Bradley, we just received an anonymous tip on our remnant , Ricardo Reyes, and we might just have a lead on him. We're heading out in 10 minutes.

The Raven and The Dragon arrive and investigate

The Dragon: I have a few cartel members here but no sign of Ricardo yet. The Raven: Looks like these guys are ready for another war...

Jason see's weapons, knifes, vehicles

Ricardo: The Dark Force is arrogant, they will never win this war. The Raven: I have visual.

Alexis' squad arrives

Alexis: We got the go-ahead, okay here's what we know, they're fully armed and there's no more than at least 20 but they have the home field advantage but a small group like us should have no problem infiltrating the area and getting out, you guys ready?

Alexis and the squad move in while the vigilantes are keeping the area clear for them while staying out of sight

Alexis takes out 2 cartel members passing by and clear out a room containing a few cartel members

They eventually make it to the room where Ricardo is and confront him

Alexis: Ricardo Reyes, you are under arrest for treason, murder and conspiracy.

Ricky, Patterson and Bradley surround Ricardo

Ricardo: I'm surprised agents, that you were able to find me so quickly but yet, came so unprepared.

Ricardo activates a trap door and slides down

Alexis: Shit!

Alexis contacts Jason and Jake

Alexis: Guys he's escaping through some underground passage way! The Raven: What? Alexis: He's gone....

Alexis, Ricky, Patterson, and Bradley arrest the remaining cartel forces

Alexis: At least we got something out of this mission. Bradley: We'll find him soon enough.

Alexis goes to Jason and Jake

Jason: Assassins, Sionis, and now cartel forces again, life isn't getting any easier is it. Alexis: No it isn't.
