Chapter VIII - Prelude to the Storm

A few days pass and word spreads of cartel influence in the world falling after the fall of Azrael's cartel due to the death of Jose and incarceration of Manuel, Azrael's last two major leaders of his cartel

Everyone is celebrating as The Cartel War draws ever so closer to an end

Nick interrupts

Nick: Everyone if I may have your attention please. While yes the defeat of Azrael's cartel and general influence of the cartels has lowered, I regret to inform you that due to recent actions, and pressure from higher ups in the pentagon.. I am being relocated, they're moving me to the 105th Legion in California so this is my last week here and in my place will be Agent Bradley Hunter.

Nick stands aside while Bradley makes a speech

Bradley: Thank you Reeves. I am honored and humbled to be given such a position and promise that despite recent actions at headquarters, we will rise up back to our former glory to how it was before the cartels attacked.

Alexis: If only Adam was still alive, I know he would've been ecstatic at this news.. Ricky: I know... I miss him too.

At the end of the week Nick is sent off to the 105th legion to try to sabotage them and distract them as Azrael executes his plan of destruction

At home Jason, Alexis and Ellen are talking

Jason: So Nick is officially gone huh. Alexis: Yeah and it feels pretty refreshing but one of my men I served with who was killed Adam... I know he would've been excited the most out of all of us. Ellen: I still think you should've been put in charge. Alexis: Thanks but Bradley was battalion leader and has more experience than me. Ellen: That old fart.

Jason gets a call on his 2nd phone

The Raven: Hello? Bradley: It's Bradley Hunter... we need to talk, tonight. Meet me at rooftop of Dark Force HQ.

Bradley hangs up

Alexis: Who was that babe? Jason: That was Bradley, and he just called me on the number I called Nick on.

Later that night
Bradley is waiting for Jason
Jason Arrives

Bradley: You're late. The Raven: What do you want? Bradley: Reeves is gone, he's left me in charge and I think it's time to change things up around here.

Bradley tosses a folder and The Raven grabs it and opens it

Bradley: Carmine Falcone, he's coming to Deacon and rumor is he's coming to discuss business with Roman Sionis. The Raven: Well he'll be disappointed, Sionis is dead. Bradley: He's dead? The Raven: A fire in the Ratway got him. Bradley:... Well whether Sionis is dead or alive, Falcone needs to go. The Raven: Why can't you do it? Bradley: The Dark Force is only legally allowed to interfere when cartel presence is involved and we already have our hands tied with the remnant. The Raven: So what do you want me to do? Bradley: Get rid of him, I don't care how you do it, just as long as he's out.

Jason is waiting by the city entrance and spots a convoy of cars entering the city surrounding a limo

Jason starts following on his motorcycle and plants bombs on the convoy blowing them all up and plants a small explosive on the front of the limo to disable it

The driver gets out and starts shooting Jason but is disarmed and knocked out

Jason opens the back door and finds it empty as it had been a decoy

The Raven: Damn.

Jason goes back to Bradley

Bradley: How'd it go? The Raven: It was a decoy, he's probably been in the city for a good while now. Bradley: That's not good... keep searching, there's not much I can do on my end here.

The next day Jason is talking to Jake

Jason: It's me, I need your help. Jake: Oh yeah? With what? Jason: Carmine Falcone. Jake: Oh, I see. What about him? Jason: He's in Deacon. Jake: Yeah I know. Jason: You know? Jake: I'm staring at him right now. Jason: I'm on my way

Jason goes suited up and confronts Carmine Falcone as he's leaving

The Raven: You shouldn't be here!

Falcone turns around see's The Raven

Falcone: Really... Well I don't take orders from hooded freaks like you. The Raven: Go back to Gotham!

Falcone's security comes out

Falcone: Well my dear friend. while you have been messing around. I have been busy, Roman Sionis is dead, and soon you will be too. Jason: So you're not here to discuss business with Sionis? Falcone: Kill him!

All men surrounding Jason fire

Time slows down as the bullets head towards Jason with him having nowhere else to go when suddenly an orange streak zooms by and takes Jason and Falcone leaving Falcone's men to be taken out by crossfire

The orange streak puts Falcone in a holding cell in Deacon Police Department and takes Jason to the outskirts of the city

Jason stumbles and falls

Jason: Who the..

Jason looks around and see's The Flash Jay Garrick

Jason: Flash! Jay: Raven

Jay helps Jason get up

Jason: What are you doing here? Jay: Kid, we have a problem.
