Chapter XV - Reemergence

Black Mask: We've been in hiding long enough. Ricardo: Yes, we strike now when they least expect it.

In the dead of night Black Mask and Ricardo go to the Dark Force HQ with the remnant

Ricardo: Ready? Black Mask: Do it.

Ricardo blows up a good chunk of the side of the building

Dark Force units who were inside and near the blast radius die

Black Mask and Ricardo storm the building with the remnant gunning down Dark Force units who are inside and aren't fast enough to leave the room

Ricardo: Keep going! Kill them all.

Cartel Remnants continue to charge the area

Dark Force units further in the building start gearing up and fortifying the rooms

Agent: Go, move move!

The agent is killed along with many others

The Dark Force are able to start fighting back

Agent: We're getting overrun we need back up!

Jason picks up the transmission along with Alexis

Jason: The cartel remnant is storming the Dark Force building! Alexis: Don't go, I have this handled. Jason: Alexis, I could help, you know I can handle myself. Alexis: No, I won't have you get killed. Jason: And neither will I!

Oscar also hears the distress call and heads out

At Dark Force HQ the battle continues

Multiple agents and remnants are killed in the battle

Ricardo and Black Mask go to Bradley's office and are about to take their battle plans and outposts until Oscar throws a knife at Ricardo's leg

Black Mask looks up

Black Mask: You? You should be dead! Oscar: Hiding behind that mask won't save you Sionis! Black Mask: Argh!

Black Mask charges Oscar

Oscar flips over Black Mask and throws a knife at his back dropping him

Oscar gets distracted by Ricardo trying to get up

Oscar goes to Black Mask and pulls the knife out of him

Ricardo gets up and stumbles

Oscar goes to him and stabs him in the gut

Oscar pulls the knife out and Ricardo falls and starts bleeding out

Oscar turns around and Black Mask is gone

Alexis arrives and flanks the remnant

Jason arrives with Jake and assess the situation

Jason: What do you suppose we do? Jake: Get the one's in the building.

Jake and Jason move forward

Black Mask is stumbling outside trying to get away

The Dark Force are able to hold the remnants at bay and they start retreating

Jason and Jake take out remnants in the building

Dark Force agents are clearing the building for any remnants that are still in the building and get to Bradley's office and find Ricardo's body

Alexis: Bradley... this is Alexis, we found Ricardo's body.

Later Bradley arrives

Bradley: The remnant caught us by surprise, but it cost them. Alexis: What now? Bradley: The remnant is without a leader, the only thing we can do now is just keep fighting.

Jason's hideout

Jason: It was Oscar you know. Jake: I know. We need to catch him somehow, he's unstable.

Jason notices a few stuff is missing

Jake: Who knows what he could do next. Jason: Did you take some stuff? Jake: What? No.

Alexis enters

Alexis: Did you guys hear the news? Raul DeSantos is dead. Jake: And what about Azrael? Alexis: He's gone dark, but Bradley is tightening up security, Azrael isn't going to let this go unanswered.

Deacon City PD
Black Mask charges in and starts firing at the local pd with a few remnant members
In the scuffle Black Mask gets cell keys off a dead officer and frees Carmine Falcone

Falcone: About time you came. Black Mask: Shut it, I'm not doing this for you!

Black Mask and Falcone escape

The Next Day, Dark Force are investigating

Ricky: You don't think Azrael could've done this do you? Bradley: No, I don't think so, there's no way he would've gotten here without someone noticing him, and even then, why attack the police department and not us?

Alexis interrupts

Alexis: Because it wasn't him, take a look at the surveillance footage.

On the surveillance footage Alexis, Ricky, and Bradley see Black Mask freeing Falcone

Bradley: Who's that. Alexis: I don't know, but him and his men sure did a lot of damage. Bradley: Dammit.

Remnant hideout

Falcone: To what do I owe the pleasure? Black Mask: This wasn't professional courtesy, for far too long the vigilantes have been a thorn in my side. If it wasn't for them I would have ruled this city and eliminated the Dark Force from this place. Falcone: What do you want from me? Black Mask: Men, men that can help me obliterate those vigilantes to hell. Falcone: I don't work for free Sionis, you want men you need to pay up.

Later Jason is watching TV when he gets a text from Jake telling him to switch to the news
On the news channel it shows Black Mask with hostages

Black Mask: Jason, Jason, Jason, whatever shall I do with you. Jason: What the fuck? Black Mask: You thought you had killed me, burned, charred, but here I am, deformed, broken. You run around like your invincible, like you're untouchable, your nothing but a man, and men can be broken. Meet me where it all started. And if you think about no showing.

Sionis lights a match and burns the hostages alive

Black Mask: What kind of hero are you?

Jason suits up and heads out to fight Black Mask

Black Mask: You made a big mistake by coming here Jason!

Jason gets instantly blinded by light surrounding him

Black Mask: You thought you had me, but I have a few surprises up my sleeve.

Jason gets instantly tased and taken down by everyone surrounding him
Jason falls on his knees

Jason: You can't kill me...

Jason gets up and starts fighting back against Black Masks gang taking a few down before getting hit with sedatives
Jason tries to fight a little longer until he falls
Black Mask approaches Jason

Black Mask: This isn't about killing you Jason, this is about making you suffer!

Jason goes unconscious
