Sometimes I don't know why I do things for these stupid teenagers. I had just saved them from being killed by hunters and there isn't even a single thank you . Rude. I realised when Scott said he had a sister I was screwed. He had a female's scent all over him and it was calming and intoxicating. An odd mixture I know. I never believed in mates until this very moment. Scott would never let me go near his sister and I'm pretty sure she is younger than him. This is just getting better and better.
A short girl came round the corner, she was human and was absolutely beautiful. She had long, brown wavy hair and glasses. There were freckles scattered around her nose and under her eyes. "Isaac? What's going on?" She looked around before her eyes locked with mine. "Isaac, who is that?" He turned to look at her but her gaze never left me. "Get out of here. Go!" He shouted, she seemed very taken aback by him. I think he's never shouted at her before. "I'm sorry, but you just can't be here Echo" So that's her name. "Who is that!" She asked again, looking at me. "Someone you don't need to know" She shook her head.
"I repeat this once more. WHO IS THAT?" She yelled at them. She may be small, but she's mighty alright. Scott turned to her, "That's Derek. He is a friend." Scott really needs to improve his lying abilities. His heartbeat is going at a million miles per hour. She didn't believe him anyway. Scott looked at me, "We tell her at your loft" I was about to disagree but decided not to.
"Fine"
Stiles came round the corner with his keys and the rest of the pack. "Isaac and Scott, with me" They nodded and followed me to my car. "Excuse me Mr Sourwolf but my jeep cant take every other person. Take two others" I rolled my eyes. "Whatever" Echo came towards me, dragging Liam. I chuckled at his reluctant face, and the tips of his ears were going red.

Once Derek had driven off I turned to Lydia. "Did you see the way Derek was looking at Echo?" She nodded at me. "It was like they were fascinated with each other!" I realised there are no guys in my jeep. "Great, I'm stuck with all the girls!" I groaned but I felt something on the roof. "You got me" Corey poked his head through the open window. "I'm on the roof. Eavesdropping on all your conversations" I laughed and the girls got in and we started towards Derek's loft.

"Are you not uncomfortable being stuck with all guys?" She shook her head. "My best friend is Isaac and Liam is my 2nd best friend" Her voice brims with innocence and vulnerability. Isaac smiles at her and she returns it. It was hard driving to the loft, her scent was so distracting but we made it without me jumping her bones. I quickly got out of the car and opened the door to the loft. Scott pulled me to the side, "Someone close to her should tell her, Isaac maybe" I nodded. "She is just so-". "Vulnerable" I shook my head. "Beautiful" He looked at me shocked. "What?!" I walked away from him and sat down on the sofa.
"Derek, Derek, Derek." Peter tutted, he was talking to me like I was a child. "Getting ourselves wrapped up in a teenage girl are we?" I growled at him. "What was that?" Echo asked. Damn, she probably heard that. "Nothing" I went into the kitchen and waited for Echo to be told about the supernatural. I waited for twenty minutes. Isaac came into the kitchen and groaned. "She won't believe us, she thinks it a trick or something. She wants you to prove it" I was surprised that she didn't believe him but she seemed like a nerdy sort of girl that would like sci-fi sort of stuff. I shrugged it off, "Okay"
I left the kitchen and went over to Echo. "What did Isaac tell you?" She turned towards me. "That he is a werewolf and this world has supernatural creatures everywhere." She was pretty annoyed and frustrated. "He wasn't lying." She looked at me with her eyebrows raised. "Prove it" I turned my back to her and shifted into my black wolf. I went up to her and brushed against her leg. She took a step back but I got closer to her and laid down.
I shifted back and grabbed some pants. "He wasn't lying" She nodded, still unsure and sat down on the couch. All I wanted to do right now is kiss her. We locked eyes and stared at eachother. I kept thinking, it would be so wrong but so right. I can't. Screw it! She is my mate anyway. We came closer together until our noses were touching, if I leant forward, we would be kissing. So I did just that. It felt like bombs went off in my stomach as I kissed her, one of my hands resting on the side of her face, and the other on her waist. I hastily pulled back incase she regretted it. She was blushing like mad. "W-what was that?" She was embarrassed out of her mind, I gave her one of my rare smiles, "Some wolves have what we call, mates. That is short for soulmates. Two souls destined to be together and can't survive without the other soulmate, it's like their other half." She was looking at me weirdly now.
"Mates were supposed to be made for each other but, we can't be together. It puts you in too much danger, and if you die, I won't be able to cope" it was painful watching her face morph from confusion to sadness. Everyone I get close always gets hurt. When I walked away from her, I felt really bad, but anyone I let get close to me, always get killed. It's not something I can control, if she got hurt, Scott would kill me and I wouldn't be able to live with myself. "I'm sorry Echo" I looked back and kissed her forehead, then left.

No, this isnt how its supposed to go! A tear slowly rolled down my cheek as Derek left me. "NO!" I cried. I sat on the couch for ages trying to pull myself together. I know I haven't known this guy long but I feel a weird connection to him. I heard footsteps around the room. "Isaac?" I whispered. A cold, menacing laugh came from the shadows. I really hope it was someone playing a trick on me, but my hope diminishes at the sight of the person leaving the shadows.
"Gerard actually"
