Another date.

Another girl.

Another disappointment.

This is what Chanyeol thought to himself as he sat at the long dinner table in the palace.

Being the prince of his land, he was expected to marry and produce an heir. The only problem was that all he felt was indifference towards any of the girls or princess in the kingdom.

They were all beautiful and well mannered, just like the princess who sat before him. She was tall with big, brown eyes and wavy brown hair. Any man would have been happy to have her.

Chanyeol, however, didn't feel anything.

All of the women had been beautiful, that wasn't something he denied. However, he just wasn't attracted to them. None of them made him feel anything at all, he just felt like it was another meal with a guest. Nothing more.

"Your highness?" the girl spoke, looking at him with concern. Chanyeol had been so lost in his thoughts that he had completely ignored his dinner date. She must have asked him a question, because the look on her face indicated confusion.

"My apologies," he spoke, "What were you saying?"

"I asked you how the meal was," she frowned, looking down at her plate. All of her food had been eating, but Chanyeol's hadn't been touched. As his father got more desperate, the number of dates increased. Today he had been to see the last four suitable women, and he was already tired of being around people.

"My meal is fine, thank you," he sighed, "You are excused."

"I....am excused?" she seemed frightened, "Y..Your highness, you haven't even finished your meal."

"I no longer have any interest in you. Thank you for coming, but I don't think you will be suitable for me." Chanyeol didn't even look at her when he spoke. He couldn't remember how many times he said those words. It almost became a second nature to reject the girl, even before the date was over.

"Your highness..." she begged, but he had already gotten up from the table and walked away. He could feel her eyes staring at his retreating form, but he didn't even look back once. He left the room and shut the door without any sort of concern.

"Your highness..." he heard a servant call, but if someone called him one more time he felt like he would explode with anger.

"Can I help you?" he turned around to face the servant, his eyes sending chills down the servant's spine.

"The princes have arrived....." the servant whimpered, "They are sitting in the lounge. I have already prepared the game for today."

Chanyeol sighed, completely forgetting that his friends were coming. Once a week, no matter how busy they all were, the three other princes from the other kingdoms would come and they would usually play a sort of card game.

They were the only people Chanyeol felt he could talk to about his troubles, because he felt like they were the only ones who would understand. Unfortunately, they felt no sympathy for his current problem.
