The morning sun poured through the huge windows as Baekhyun began to stir in the bed. He didn't remember what happened after he finished cleaning, he had no idea that he even fell asleep.
Opening his eyes, he squinted at the brightness of the room and looked around. His body felt stiff and sore from working so hard, but he was proud that he finished so quickly. The servant wondered if the prince was proud of him, too.
Slowly he sat up and stretched his arms, his wings fluttering behind him as he moved from side to side. That was probably one of the best sleeps he ever had. The bed was so comfy like he was sleeping on a cloud, but his body was just too overworked from the day before to feel any better.
Everything seemed to be going well for him as he fell back onto the bed. If the prince hadn't woken him yet, maybe he could get away with laying there a bit longer.
Speaking of which, Baekhyun thought to himself, where is the prince?
His question was quickly answered when he looked across the bed and noticed someone else sleeping there too. His breath stopped in his throat and his eyes widened. He shouldn't have been so shocked, all they did was sleep, but the prince just didn't seem like the type who would share.
Baekhyun was a nobody, he was the farthest thing from noble blood. He was a peasant and a whore. He was dirty and undesirable. Why was he sleeping so comfortably, knowing full well Baekhyun was there?
He slowly got out of the bed and looked down at himself. He wondered what he was supposed to wear, since he had worn those clothes since yesterday. Maybe that would be all he was given. There was suddenly a knock at the door and Baekhyun froze.
He wasn't sure if he was supposed to leave it be or answer it. He could then hear something being placed in front of the door and footsteps walking away.
"Go get that."
Baekhyun nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard the prince speak. He turned around to see that he was sitting up in the bed, staring right at him. They shared an awkward look before Baekhyun ran to the door, going to see what had been left behind.
On the floor was a tray filled with various breakfast items and beverages. Baekhyun hadn't seen anything that in his entire life. The food almost looked too beautiful to eat. He cautiously picked up the tray and brought it to the bed, placing it beside the older male.
"Sit," Chanyeol ordered, so the servant did without question. He watched as Chanyeol began to divide up the food onto plates, each plate getting an even amount of food. Baekhyun's mouth watered at the sight, but he knew that he could never have taste anything that good. Or at least, so he thought.
"Here," Chanyeol handed him the second plate with food on it. Baekhyun stared for a moment, setting it in his lap but not touching it one bit. Was he supposed to eat it?
"You know, we have yet to be formally introduced," Chanyeol spoke after eating some of the food.
"To be fair, your highness, everyone knows who you are, and I am only a servant," Baekhyun looked down, still leaving the food untouched.
"I would still prefer to call you by name. In turn you may call me by name as well," Chanyeol offered, and then noticed that he wasn't eating, "Also, consider this your reward for working so hard yesterday."
