IT'S TIME. (PART 2)

CLAIRE'S POV

I was cleaning the chair in the open hall when I suddenly felt a powerful aura around, I had quickly turned not sparing anyone a glance and bowed in submission knowing that it could only be our guests in the stair case, but that wasn't the only reason I bowed though.

they had been whistling so loudly that people had began to gather in the hall and all attention was on me, I knew it that trouble was going to locate me one way or the other today, so I did the next best thing I thought of.

         . I RAN.

As fast as my legs could carry me back into the pack kitchen so I could get the remaining glass cups for the guests and pack members to have lunch.

After a long time of stalling the Alpha mind linked me,

    "You have 10 minutes to come out here and serve this food else I'll forget I decided to spare you for the time been, best believe you won't get it light this time" alpha Cole threatened.

" yes alpha I'll be there in no time" I said resigning myself to whatever fate awaits me next.

I quickly went into the dining room, trying my possible best to obey Lunas instructions by not looking anyone in the face especially our guests, I started serving the meal when I got to a particular spot I got the vision again of a powerful hand holding Mandy in the neck and watching her turn pale, I didn't realize that I had actually unconsciously dropped the plate in my hands on the floor right between Luna and beta Will,

    not again...

quick visions like that had landed me in trouble on multiple occasions,  I was definitely in for a lot of punishment.   I immediately bent down to pick up the pieces but was pulled back up by someone pulling my hair so tightly, I closed my eyes so as to prevent the tears from rushing out, but the hold on my hair was really Firm. 

I finally managed to pry the claw like nails from my hair, then looked around the full room  searching for an exit so I could make a run for it, although fate had other plans cause the face that caught my attention made every other thought fly out the window, looking intently at me with curiosity and sheer interest was none other than the  man in my visions, the man who was crowned by my angel, and every beautiful creature bowed to him, wait he's  our guest?

I was so lost in his eyes and my thoughts that I didn't notice the moment Mandy smacked my face so hard that I fell to the floor on the very plate I had just broken, I hissed from the impact of my fall but I was quick to scramble up seeing  as that would earn me extra punishment, I tried getting up but of course I was in luck as usual cause I noticed a tiny shard of glass logged in my palm, thankfully it wasn't deep or anything so I removed it and started moving to pull myself back up.

when I finally succeeded in getting up the sight before me  was exactly as I'd seen earlier on and a day before,
Mandy was held up high in her neck by that man, his eyes were glowing a sparkling black and a deep sharp touch of golden, although her brother kept begging all I picked up was the fact that he called this man the alpha King, wait I knew the king was coming but was I too stupid to have known, of course who else would ooze such air of authority Claire, how classic of me. 

  when I finally snapped out of my petty argument I looked up to see Mandy still dangling up there and she was unsurprisingly turning pale but he still didn't let her go.

It  was then that I realized I had seen this scene in my vision,  wait.. this was my chance, cause surely I would not be opportuned to sit and chat with him, I needed to take hold of this chance, but I couldn't just say, "oh your majesty, I forgot to tell you but I have been seeing you recurringly in my visions"

Nah, speech like that could cost me my head in record timing.
I needed to start with the easiest person to rile up in the room, someone who talks without thinking, someone who had a thing for blowing things out of proportion, so who better pave my way than the one who just experienced his wrath first hand.

   "if you weren't so busy trying to slap me into unconsciousness you might have avoided this situation mandy, "
I said looking down  at Mandy who was now heaving and holding her neck and inhaling as much air as possible after been finally flung on the floor by the man who had now resumed staring intently at me

   "you stupid hoe, you not only tried to seduce William but now you have managed to seduce the king, what do you mean I would have avoided this situation? I'm betting you saw this already but You intentionally acted stupid just to tick off the king? I was only trying to teach you a lesson bitch"

see what I said about talking without thinking and blowing things out of proportion.?

    "You better than anyone should know by now Mandy that my visions never go as far as showing me what happens to me or how I get involved, I had seen this earlier, In fact it's the real reason the plate broke, if you had just tried to hold in your hate and bitterness this would have  remained just an event among a thousand other possibilities "
I shot back at her finally finding the courage to talk back from goddess knows where.

     " ENOUGH"
the man roared shaking the entire room and even making everyone flinch and cower back into their SEATS with heads all bowed in submission but for some reason it didn't affect me.

He blinked a couple of times before speaking further obviously annoyed by the continous back and forth rambling between Mandy and i

     "Mandy you have no right whatsoever to treat Your kind  in that manner, how do you pull a person's hair? that is inhumane and was uncalled for, I will spare your life today and will decide a fate for you before sunset". The king said sternly without any speck of emotions.

     "Now over to you: who are you?"

He turned to me now looking at me with absolutely no emotion, he was daring me to even as much as blink my eyes,
I just stared back at him cause if he only knew that Mandy was just a pawn, this moment was about him but he was oblivious to that.
