It was around noon on Saturday. I walk into the kitchen to have lunch with the girls. As I do, I see Sally and Cordelia in the kitchen, making food. "Hey guys. Where's Mina and Billie?" I ask, leaning against the counter. "They won't be joining us, sweetheart. Mina is at work and Billie is having a meeting with executives from her show. They should be here later tonight." I could feel my heart drop from Delia's words. Why can't we ever just have one day or night together, like a family? "Oh, okay..." Delia and Sally look at each other in confusion and worrieness. "Baby, you okay?" "Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry..." I sit down in my chair and start fiddling with my fork. Sally sits down next to me and takes my hand and gives my knuckles a kiss. "You sure you're alright, babygirl?" I nod and put my head on her shoulder. "I feel better now..." I mumble, snuggling further into Sally's neck. She wraps her arm around my shoulder and kisses my forehead. "Good. You hungry, babe?"

I go to open my mouth to say yes, and right when I did, my stomach made a loud rumbling noise, making all three of us laugh. "I'll take that as a yes..." Sally said, tickling my stomach, making me giggle. Cordelia then comes to the table with our food and she sat down and we ate. After eating and helping clean up, I decided to just go to my room. "Hey, I'm just... I'm gonna go to my room and watch something..." I start to walk away before I hear Delia's voice. "Do you want to watch it with us?" "I... I just feel like staying in my room. But I'm fine, guys, don't worry. I love you both." I walk into my room and shut the door. "She's not fine. She's upset about something..." Sally says to Delia, while they sit at the table. "What do you think's the matter with her? What could be making her so upset?" They thought for a while before it came to Sally. "Remember how her face dropped when you said Bill and Mina wouldn't be here for lunch, and they'd probably be home later?"

"Yeah... she did seem really sad about that. I think she's probably upset that all of us weren't here..." they sat in silence for a few seconds before they looked at each other and smiled. "You take Bill, and I take Venny?" Delia nodded before they got on their phones to call the girls. It was now dinner time, and I hadn't come out of my room all day, except to go to the bathroom, of course. I'm listening to music on my phone, when I hear a knock at my door. "Babe, can I come in?" "Yeah." Sally walks in and shuts the door, and sits down on the bed next to me. "Could you come to the living room with me? There's something I wanna show you..." "Okay..." I say, very curious and a little confused. "Oh, and you have to close your eyes." "What? Why?" "Did I mention it's a surprise?" She says, giving me a sweet, but mischievous little smirk.

"Fine. But if you're gonna scare me, remember I'm 19, so I can press charges." She laughed and gave me a tight hug. "Don't worry, babe, you're gonna enjoy your surprise..." we walk out of my room and make our way to the living room. As we walk into the living room, I start to smell something really good. That smells like pizza... nah, I'm just nuts... "Okay, keep them closed for another minute, babe... no peeking..." I feel her hand leave mine, and now I'm just standing there in the middle of the living room with my eyes closed. I start to feel a hand intertwining their fingers with mine, and I feel someone kissing the top of my head. Before I can open my mouth and ask if it's Sally, I hear a soft, velvety voice in my ear. "Hi, sweetheart... did you miss us?" I open my eyes as quickly as I possibly could, and turn around to see Mina and Billie standing in front of me. "Oh my god! Guys!"

I practically jump into their arms, and hold them tighter than I ever have. "I missed you both so much..." "We've missed you too, baby. Cordelia told us that you've been acting really sad ever since lunchtime. What's the matter, pumpkin?" I feel a tear come out and I wipe it away and say, "I thought you guys were gonna be there at lunch, but when Delia said that you weren't gonna be home till late, it just really made me sad. Cause I don't remember the last time we all sat down and were together, like a family." Billie and Mina get sad looks on their faces and Billie gets down on her knees in front of me, holding my hands. "I'm so sorry, sweetheart. We wanted to be there, but we were so busy, and couldn't get away. Please forgive us, angel." I feel Mina's arm wrap around my waist and she gives my neck a kiss. "Let us make it up to you, sweet girl." She turns me around and on the coffee table, is pizza from my favorite pizza place, and my favorite drink, and Sally and Delia were sitting on the couch with a stack of DVDs next to them.

"We thought maybe you'd like to watch a movie with us, darling. But only if you want to." Mina said softly, holding my hand. "You guys... did all this for me?" I ask, feeling like I could burst into tears any second. "Of course we did, babygirl. We love you more than anything, and we need to show it more." Billie said, wrapping her arms around me, holding me tight and kissing my head. I can't believe they would do something like this, just for me... I don't deserve them... I feel a tear fall down my cheek, and Mina looks over at me, and sees the tear and wipe it away. "Sweetheart, what's the matter? Why are you crying?" "Cause I don't deserve you guys." I walk over to the couch and I hug Cordelia tight, kinda catching her off guard. "Delia, when you found me, you could've just sent me to some foster home and never had to think of me ever again. But instead, you decided to keep me and raise me like your own daughter. And guys, when Delia called you, and you saw she had me, you could've just bailed out. But instead, you all decided that you'd raise me and be like, my moms..."

I start feeling tears stream down my face, and Sally leans in to kiss and wipe them away. "I know I don't deserve you guys. And I still don't understand why you decided to keep me..." Billie and Mina joined us on the couch, and Billie wrapped her arms around me. "You really wanna know why, sweetheart?" I nod, nuzzling my face into Billie's neck. "When Delia called us that night, and told us to come over straight away, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. But when we saw you, and you looked at us with those beautiful brown eyes, we knew right then and there, we were wrapped around your little finger, and you had our hearts completely." I can't help but start to grin at Billie's words. "We would never ever regret taking you in, pumpkin. You've made our lives so much brighter and happier, and we love you more than anything in the entire world." I start to cry again and I hug and kiss all of them. "I love you guys so freaking much." "We love you so much more, babygirl. So, would you like to watch a movie with us, angel?" I get a big grin on my face and say, "Heck yeah I do!" For the rest of the night, we watched my favorite movies and ate pizza together, and it was one of the best nights of my entire life, and I could never thank them enough for all they've done for me.
