My Hero Academia: What We Fight For (Izuocha)

(Arc 3) Chapter Thirteen - Happy Birthday, Izuku!

OCHAKO'S POV:

     Today was July 15th, which meant it was Izuku's seventeenth birthday and I wanted to do something special for him. Luckily, Izuku was training today with Tokoyami and some of the other guys at the camp, so I was able to think of a good plan for his special day.

     Todoroki, Iida and Hatsume agreed to help me out, along with Sato a little later on. Also Eri wanted to help set up with Mirio and Mr. Aizawa, so they were doing that in the mess hall.

     "What's the plan, Uraraka?" Iida asked me.

     "Okay, Mr. Aizawa went out and got  the party supplies with Eri earlier. Todoroki, please distract Izuku as much as you can until we're ready. Iida and Hatsume, could you help Eri and Aizawa decorate? They might need some help getting everything set up" I planned out.

     "What about you?" Todoroki asked. "Don't you wanna help set up everything for his birthday?"

     "I will be. I need to pick up something from Aizawa. Then I'll join in with helping Sato. I really appreciate all your help, guys. I wanna make this special for him" I told them.

     "Right. Alright, we should get to work. Lots to do and so little time to do it" Todoroki stated and we all split up.

     We planned to do the surprise around four, which gave us a little under two hours to finish preparations. It's cutting it a little, but we'll have to make it work.

     I should thank Yami later for allowing us to do this, let alone let us use the mess hall.

     I was able to get to the mess hall without Izuku seeing me. Once inside, Iida and Hatsume had already gotten there and was helping Mr. Aizawa hang the banner. Aizawa saw me and came over to me.

      "Hey, they had it at the store. I also bought you a gift bag to put it in" Mr. Aizawa stated, handing me the item.

     "Thank you so much, sir" I told him.

     Since students couldn't leave the campgrounds, I gave Mr. Aizawa money and he went out to buy the party supplies and my gift for Izuku.

     "We should have everything set up soon. Hopefully Todoroki is keeping problem child busy" Aizawa stated.

     "Yeah, me too. I'm gonna help Sato finish his baking" I told Aizawa and he went off to finish their decorations.

     Sato had taken one of the cakes out of the oven, whilst putting another one in. In total, he already had two out.

     "Hey, Sato! Need any help?" I asked him.

     "Yeah, sure! Wanna decorate the cakes for me?" He asked.

     "Sure" I stated, grabbing the icing.

     I began lathering the first cake in green icing. Once I did that and smoothed it out, I took black fondant and tried to remember what his hero costume looked like. I put black squares on the sides of the cakes, and used red fondant to create the fake belt. I was satisfied with how closely it resembled his costume.

     The second I also put green icing on, and used an icing bag to add white trim on it. I also used it to write 'Happy 17th Birthday, Izuku!' on it.

     "Whoa, those are looking good Uraraka!" Sato complimented.

     "Thanks! I want everything to look the best it can" I told him.

     "Midoriya's a cool dude, he'd love it anyways" Sato said back.

     "Thanks, Sato."

     Eri was getting excited with decorating the place, Aizawa smiling at her as she ran around admiring their work. I let Sato design the last cake. Now all I had to do was prepare the present and...
