(Arc 3) Chapter Fourteen - Scavenger Hunt (Part 1)

     "What? A scavenger hunt?! That sounds fun!" Sero stated.

     "Doesn't it? I heard Euphoria talking with the other teachers earlier about it! It's gonna be cabins against cabins to hunt down the items we're searching for" Mina explained.

     We were currently eating lunch with the girls as Mina explained what she heard about the contest coming up. Apparently it was a scavenger hunt, but none of us knew the prize for winning it.

     "A scavenger hunt is perfect for bonding and team coordination skills. It's brilliant!" Iida stated.

     "Yeah, I'm not one to usually eavesdrop but good thing I did, gives us a slight advantage" Mina said proudly.

     "That eavesdrop thing is a big lie" Jiro stated, bugging Kaminari and they both laughed.

     "Hey!" Mina stated.

     As they had their little scuffle, I wrapped an arm around Ochako as we ate our food. Maybe this time, we'll win a challenge for once. We hadn't won any since we got here, and even the 1-B class had won a challenge or two.

     "Don't expect to win though, we're pulling out all the stops. Right, girls?" Mina asked them.

     "You know it! Sorry Ojiro, hope you won't take the loss too hard!" Hagakure stated, and Ojiro smiled at her.

      "You'll be the ones losing! We're gonna win and kick your butts!" Ochako randomly yelled, getting fired up.

     "Eek! Midoriya, control her!" Hagakure asked pleading.

     "Sorry, I don't have control over her. She's free-range" I said, laughing.

     "That's the spirit, Uraraka! Let's finally win a challenge!" Ojiro jumped in.

     I don't think I've seen Ochako with this sort of determination since the school festival. She's cute when she's all fired up.

     I began finishing my food as Euphoria and Goji came up to the stage.

     "Alright, whenever you're ready head over to the flagpole, we're gonna be starting our next activity soon!" She squealed into the mic. "This one's gonna be a fun one!"

     "Yeah, a fun one we're gonna win" Momo stated now, smiling at us.

     "You'll eat those words, we promise you that!" Sero stated.

     "Yeah, we aren't going down easy this time" Iida stated as well.

      Our group and the girl's group finished our meals and headed outside, along with Monoma and Mirio's group.

     "Ahh, Class 1-A! It's not of you to come out to watch us win! Get it? Cause you're gonna lose and Class 1-B will be superio-" Monoma stated, but was whacked by Kendo as her cabin joined the walk over.

     "Sorry! It's harder to deal with him when we're in separate cabins" Kendo stated.

     "No problem. He's got a big mouth for someone who's going down!" Sero stated.

     "So do you" Kendo said. "Don't hold back this time."

     "Hey, we never hold back!" Sero stated. "Do you hear me? We're gonna beat you!"

      We gathered around the flagpole, waiting for the other cabins to show up. I took Ochako's hand in mine while we waited. Eventually after what felt like forever, everyone arrived.

     "Alright, looks like everyone is here! Welcome everyone to today's activity! Today we're playing a scavenger hunt... with a twist! As you probably noticed, the teachers are nowhere to be seen!" Euphoria stated.
