Chapter five- The compass

3rd POV

The John B sailed to the Camerons family boat after JJ convinced John B and Sage to go and look for anything valuable at the wreck. John B worked for the Camerons and they had scuba gear. So they planned to borrow, key word, borrow the scuba equipment to look for anything at the wreck.

After John B returned and the other four hopped in, they took off to the boat wreck.

"This is empty. You took empty tanks?" Sage asked as she checked the tanks. She looked at the next one. "Ok this one's a quarter full. It's enough for one of us."

"Love it when a plan comes together." Pope said sarcastically.

"Does anyone know how to dive?" Kie asked. "Anybody?"

"It's kind of a Kook sport." JJ said.

"I read about it." Pope said making the group look at him annoyed.

"Great Pope read about it, so someone's gonna die." Sage said with a sarcastic smile.

"Look you put the thing in your mouth and breathe. How hard could it be?" JJ asked.

"Well if you come up to fast nitrogen gets into your blood, you get the bends." Pope stated.

"Bends like bend over?" JJ asked while bending over making Sage chuckle and roll her eyes at him. He smirked and winked at her, hearing her chuckle.

"The bends kill you." Pope said not amused.

"I can dive." John B said.

"Since when can you dive?" Sage asked her brother waiting for him to come up with his lie. He looked at her.

"I'll do it. It's fine." John B told her.

"Let me do some calculations real quick."
Pope said, "that boats about 30 feet down. So it'll take 25 minutes at that depth. Which means you have to make your safety stop at about ten feet. All right? For two minutes."

"Yeah ten feet two minutes. Got it." John B said as Sage got annoyed so she lifted off her shirt and jumped into the lake, tying her he dirt to the anchor chain about ten feet down.

The boys and Kie watched the brunette jump in, with confused faces.

"What was that all about?" Pope asked looking at the water the girl just jumped into.

"I don't but it was hot. Like.... really hot." JJ said making John B smack him in the back of the head.

"Boys are idiots." Kie muttered watching the boys talk about their plan. Sage came up to the surface.

"Hey! I tied my T-shirt to the anchor chain ten feet down. It's where you need to do your safety stop." Sage told her brother climbing back on board.

"Hey if we get caught in the marsh we're basically screwed so," Pope said, "better get a move on."

"Copy that." John B said.

"Hey don't be an idiot. Do what Pope told you to do and if you have to come up, come up." Sage instructed her brother.

"Got it." John B said. Kie walked up to him and kissed him on the cheek, making the other three look at each other confused.

"Diver down." John B said and then jumped into the water. They looked at him one more time before he went underwater. The other four sat down getting comfortable. But just as they did they heard sirens.

"Shit JJ!" Pops said making JJ look at the boat coming towards them.

"Guys that's the police." JJ said.
