Chapter Twelve-Another Fight

3rd POV

The next day Kie invited Pope, JJ and Sage to the OBX Summer Movie Series. The place where all of Outer Banks could come and watch a movie outside in beautiful summer weather.

Of course Sage thought it was a bad idea, due to her running from DCS and Pope being watched by the Kooks. But did they go, yes.

Why? Kie doesn't know about Sage running from Foster Care, she doesn't even know that John B was taken. She doesn't know about what happened with the Kooks. And hopefully it stays that way. The three don't need her to worry.

"I'm so glad that they're still doing this." Kie said happily walking with JJ, Pope, and Sage to the small crowd in front of a projection screen. "Keep calm. Carry on. Back to OBC life. You know? Aren't you glad I made you come?"

"Ecstatic." Pope said with a hint of sarcasm. Sage agreed with him. She loved looking over her shoulder every 5 minutes, waiting for foster care to spot her and take her away.

"Sages bed was pretty comfy, I'll be honest." JJ said slightly smirking at her.

"Don't listen to those two idiots, I'm happy to be here." Sage lied with a smile. Kie smiled back as they settled down on the grass.

"We're our of the green zone guys." Pope muttered to Sage and JJ as Kie walked away for a second.

"Dude, tranquilo, okay?" JJ said, "You don't see Sage freaking out, with foster care and the Kooks looking for her." He said. Sage gave him a sarcastic smile.

"We're in the middle of Kooklandia!" Pope said to the two. "And Sage knows how to control her emotions which I do not!"

"He's right." Sage said. "about both Kooklandia and my emotions."

"This is the last place I wanted to be." Pope said sitting.

"Shut up Pope." JJ said as Sage left the two boys, annoyed with Popes anxiety, leaving to find Kie.

She saw her getting some snack and walked up next to her.

"Want anything?" Kie asked.

"Umm Diet Coke." Sage said. Kie nodded and looked at the man.

"Two diet cokes please." Kie said.

"Hey Kie." Someone said from behind the two. They turned around and rolled their eyes. Rafe. "Hey what's up?" He asked standing next to them.

"How are you two." Rafe asked the two.

"Shut up." Sage said already annoyed with him. He chuckled and smirked at her, the boy obviously found the girl attractive. But she's a Pogue so.

"Kie?" He asked.

"I'm fine." Kie said rolled her eyes.

"You're too nice." Sage muttered glaring at the Kook.

"Good, good. Uhhh tell your boy that we know what he did." Rafe said staring at Sage, since he knew she knew already. Sage sighed in anger and annoyance.

"Rafe, shut up and go." Sage said almost as a threat. Kie looked at the girl in confusion.

"Sorry what boy are you talking about?" Kie asked, clearly confused. Rafe smiled and started to back away.

"Don't worry, the Pogue Princess can tell you." He said winking at Sage before turning around and walking away.

Kie looked at Sage in confusion, Sage wouldn't make eyes contact with her as she grabbed her Diet Coke from the counter and walked back to the boys.
