When I move out
I'll sling a duffel bag
Over my shoulder
With a brown box
In both of my hands
Holding anything
I scoop up along the way
I don't want to hold furniture
But I want to steal
All of the baggage I've passed on to you
All the emotions weighing you down
Making you less fragile
The angst
Stuffed inside the bags
You'll have to carry
In each of your relationships
The conversations
That will follow after
What's your family like?
When I flee to adulthood
I want you to be weightless
With no trace of my pain
Of my sadness
Of me
XOXO
