When those numbers turned to letters
Papers turned to piles
Of homework
Smiles creased to frowns
The sun setting with no pink background
The luscious flowers dried out
I should've tried to water them
When the cement wasn't smooth
The hair frizzed
With a line of sweat
The books get those weird folds
In the corner
The tv gets repetitive
I should've turned the channel
When those tears
Weren't frozen in sockets
The scabs weren't hidden
By bandages
The teeth turning a pale yellow
With plack
I should've brushed my teeth last night
XOXO
