Ed Sheeran: I'm a mess

"Easy baby maybe I'm a live"

Bloody cocky asshole.

Juliana reached the café exactly at four, she'd always been punctual. But him, on the other hand, was twelve-bloody minutes late.

The guy is just hopeless; she was simply wasting her time. Two more minutes and she's out. That's it. There were a gazillion other things that she'd rather be doing than wasting her time this way. She's not going to wait a second longer than two minutes.

She starts fiddling with the button of her jacket trying to kill time. Just then she saw him rushing inside. He started looking around searching for her. He finally spotted her and with a relieved sigh, he jogged to her table.

"Hey. S'up?" he greeted after stopping in front of her table.

"You're late." She said bluntly.

"Yeah, about that. M'sorry got caught up." Jack said pulling out a chair for him to sit.

"Just start with what you'll be reading and don't waste more of my time please." she seemed so irritated by him.

Her attitude didn't go unnoticed. "Okay. God! Why do you hate me so much?"

"I don't hate you. I'm just indifferent to you." She said, pulling out a diary from her bag.

"That's even worse." He said. "Hey did you order anything?"

"No, I'm not here to eat." She replied. "Can we please get on with it?"

"No Juliana, we're ordering first. Go on, it's on me." He said motioning for the waiter to come over.

"No thank you. You're wasting my time Jack." She said, this time a bit more intimidating. Ugh. The guy was really annoying.

"Just order something, we can discuss and eat at the same time." He insisted.

Juliana shoved her hands inside her pocket to see how much money she had. Two pounds. But she was going to buy a book with it. But then again, Jack was insisting too much and it seemed like he just wouldn't let it go. Guess she'll have to buy the book later, like after two months kinda later. She sighed in defeat and disappointment. "Okay fine."

Jake motioned the waiter to come over at her reply.

"What may I get for you?" The waiter asked pulling out a tiny notebook.

"I'll just have a coffee." Juliana answered.

"I'll take a coffee and some crisps." Jake followed. The waiter nodded and went on his way. Awkward silence.

Juliana had always been kind of invisible to everyone; she didn't gather much attention, so people never acknowledged her much. It's not like she cared about it. She was one of those people who didn't give two shits about others, she was just indifferent to everything. Maybe her own problems were too much for her to focus on anything else. So she was just another person for everyone. No one ever looked at her close enough, no one gave a thought or two about her. They just knew that there was a girl called Juliana Augustine in their class, who was incredible in her studies, but not a teacher's favorite because of her cold behavior. But now, Jack had the chance. Now he could try to know a bit more about the mystery that is Juliana.

They were just sitting there in front of each other. She was feeling rather awkward, and honestly she wanted to get out. But she needed to do this, for the credits, after all she was a straight A student, she needs to keep that up. But Jake was here for different reasons. He was fascinated by her. Her cold behavior, her indifference, her I-don't-give-a-fuck attitude. They were all so intriguing; he knew that there was more right from the moment she started being rude to him when Professor gave them the project. So maybe this will be killing two birds in a single aim.
