Dear all Non-Jojo fans,
Season one of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Phantom Blood, introduces us to British rich boy Jonathan Joestar, our first main Jojo. His nickname is derived from the "Jo" in his first and last name, and this repeats for all Jojos (with a strange exception for Giorno Giovanna.) Jonathan's father is George Joestar the first, with an unknown wife who died in a carriage crash when Jonathan was a baby. A man named Dario Brando found the carriage with the wife and baby inside, and George had fallen out. Dario proceeded to try and steal from George, but he was interuppted.
George had woken up from being unconscious and thought that Dario had been sent to save his life. They introduce themselves to each other, and George thinks he owes Dario his life. Years later, Jonathan is 12 years old, and we get introduced to our first main antagonist, Dio Brando. He is Dario's son, and we see that Dario's wife is dead as well, driving him to become an alcoholic, and somewhat abuse Dio. This troubled past is what led to Dio slowly poisoning his father, before being sent to the Joestar mansion.
Once arriving, Dio makes it clear that he is only there to receive the Joestar fortune, by killing Jojo's father the same way he killed Dario, with poison. But first, he intends to ruin Jonathan's life as much as possible. George adopts Dio and treats him like his own son, and since Dio is better behaved than Jonathan, Dio's true malicious intent is unseen by Jojo's father.
Earlier on, Jonathan meets a girl named Erina Pendleton, who grows up to be his wife. JoJo defended Erina in a fight, and have been friends ever since. There comes a time when Jojo's dog, Danny, gets killed by Dio, by being burned alive in a furnace. After taking away his dog, Dio proceeds to ruin Jojo's reputation, by besting him in a boxing match. Afterwards, Dio "kills their romance before it began," stealing Jonathan's first kiss by kissing Erina. Jonathan approaches her, before Erina runs away in embarrassment.
Jonathan makes his way back to the mansion, where he encounters and fights Dio once more. The fight is stopped by George, and the two step-brothers have to deal with each other for the next 7 years, both turning 19-20 years old. The two seem to have cast aside their differences and have become friends, but that couldn't be further from the truth. They had only grown to hate each other more and more.
As adults, Dio and Jonathan have bright futures ahead, but it's all thrown away when Dio discovers a stone mask that activates with blood. He researches it, and finds that spikes from the mask dig into whomever it is placed on, impaling the victim's brain. He plans to use this mask on Jonathan to kill him, but it doesn't turn out that way.
Meanwhile, Jonathan discovers that Dio had been poisoning his father, and tries to find an antidote by going to a place called Ogre Street. There, JoJo meets Robert E. O. Speedwagon, who becomes his friend and accompanies him on his journey. Back with Dio, he has started becoming drunk while wondering the streets of London, and encounters two men in a street. Dio gets angry and they enter a fight, Dio resorting to using the mask on one of the men to test it out. Unfortunately, instead of outright killing the man, the mask had turned him into a vampire, indestructible until the sun rose, giving Dio a chance to escape.
Once Jonathan and Speedwagon go back into the Joestar mansion, Dio is already there, and sets a trap by pretending to never mean any harm, but is revealed to be a rouse by Speedwagon. Dio exclaims "I'm throwing away my humanity, JoJo!" Before putting on the mask, becoming immune to police bullets. He attacks several men, taking their blood and getting stronger. He soon gets knocked out a window, and is presumed dead.
In reality, Dio had escaped, but soon returns to fight Jonathan once more. The mansion gets set on fire with Jojo, his dead father and Dio inside, and it seems like Dio actually died, but he doesn't. At this point, Jonathan meets Will Zeppeli, a master user of the skill Hamon, which is basically portable sunlight controlled by the user's breathing technique. They train and Jonathan gets healed of his injuries from the house fire, and they prepare to fight Dio and kill him once and for all. Several fights break put, a man named Dire uses an attack on Dio but dies, and Dio summons two undead soldiers to fight JoJo. One of the soldiers gives Jonathan a sword with the power of Luck and Pluck, which gets used to slice Dio in half.
Jonathan and Erina soon go off to get married, and Erina is pregnant, but guess what DIO IS STILL FUCKING ALIVE. Also the boat they were on catches on fire and JoJo dies, leaving Erina pregnant and rescuing an abandoned baby from the ship, and they escape by riding the ocean waves in a coffin. Dio's head got detatched from his body and he goes down with Jonathan.
Whew, finally- wait, there's more-
Shit-
