Chloe's POV
"You have become very close to the new girl." Aubrey said with her arms crossed.
"It only been two weeks, but she's nice, I like her." I said thinking back to all of the great things that she has done for me.
"You like her?" Aubrey was shocked to say the least. "I didn't know you had a thing for girls who have tattoos and ear monstrosities on their ears."
"I didn't say I like her that way!" I said trying to hide my blush.
"Seriously? So why do you smile whenever she sends you a message?" Aubrey said raising an eyebrow. "Even when we're having lunch, you seem to be looking for that girl." I just took my eyes at Aubrey. She's being ridiculous. "I'm just telling you to be careful, you don't know this girl, and I don't want you to get hurt. Remember what happened with Chicago?" Okay that's it. She can make fun of her earrings or her tattoos but she can't compare her to Chicago.
"Bree, stop. She wouldn't do that to me. I trust her. I said thinking about all of the things I've told her.

Becas POV
"The auditions are tomorrow, are you ready?" Amy asked.
"I thought it was joke," I said while cooking dinner. "but are you really going to do it?"
"I told you, I want to have a normal life, it's hard to pretend all the time." Amy said while playing with her hands.
"Amy, this is a job, not an experiment." I said for what feels like the millionth time.
"You need to live." Amy said plainly. "I know this is a job, but I want to enjoy the little good things that this shitty job brings. Chloe wants to see you there, remember?"
Well shit I'm screwed. I can't say no to Chloe. She's well... Chloe.
"I see the way you look at her," Amy said. "and I saw the other day that you were interested in working at the radio station, but you didn't even dare to call."
"You can't begin to love anything or anyone here, this is temporary." I said more of a reminder to myself more than Amy.
"I'll add that to Beca Mitchell's sad book of life." Amy said rolling her eyes and walking off.

Chloe's POV
"For your addition, each of you will be singing sixteen bars of jelly Clarkson's since you..." the guy running auditions said.
'Where the hell is Beca?' I thought. She said she would try to come to auditions.
"Who are you looking for?" Aubrey asked.
"No one." I said a little to quickly.

Chloe's POV
I'm sitting her in my computer doing research on Barden. I'm so bored in literally playing with a stapler making it talk when my mind went to what Amy said earlier. I let out a long sigh.
'I see the way you look at her.' Amy said. Its like her words are mocking me. 'You need to live.'
"Stupid rules" I said to the stapler. I can't believe I'm about to do this.
————————————————————Becas POV
"Okay. That is everybody I'm really not that impressed this year, guys." The auditions guy said.
I see Chloe sitting there looking bored out of her mind and then we make eye contact. Oh shit.
"Oh wait! There's one more!" Chloe quickly said stopping the guy from talking.
"Hi, um, I didn't know we had to prepare that song." I said while awkwardly walking onto the stage.
"Oh, that's okay. Sing anything you want." Chloe said in her usual kind voice.
"May I?" I ask pointing to a yellow cup full of pens in front of Chloe. She nodded and I grabbed the cup.
I started tapping a rhythm on the cup.
"I got my ticket for the long way round. Two bottles of whiskey for the way." I sang. "And I Sure would like some sweet company, but I'm leaving tomorrow what'd you say? When I'm gone, when I'm gone, your gonna miss me when I'm gone. Your gonna miss me by my hair your gonna miss me everywhere oh, your gonna miss me when I'm gone." I said finishing with perfect pitch. But what I didn't notice was a brunette watching me.
I just sat there being my awkward self while Chloe was smiling like an idiot and the brunette was just standing there looking smug.
