18- Saying No

Me and Amy walk into joshes office and see him working on paper work. Once he noticed we came in he looked up at us.
"I hope you have good news." Josh said in a very business like tone.
     "We do." I say while glancing at Amy. She gives me a nod and I continue. "Carmen's main office is in the center of Barden. She takes a break at 2 and 5, each break lasts 15 minutes."
     "We tried to get to her office but her secretary is like an eagle, she sees everything." Amy continued to tell Josh.
     "Make her quit." Josh sated plainly.
     "We did." I say. "She has a new secretary named Carol, she's more clueless and easy to cheat."
     "We've been studying her movements, her rest hours and the places she goes in the office." Amy said.
     "While Carmen takes her rest, Amy gets rid of Carol and I'll sneak into Carmen's office." I finish explaining the plan.
     "That sounds great." Josh said as he moved to get out of his chair. "Make sure to register her computer, bring me the family files too."
     When Josh said family files I immediately got worried. I would not let him hurt Chloe.
     "Family files? Why?" After I say this Amy nudged me discreetly. "I mean, the main target is Carmen, right? Chloe gave me the necessary information."
     "For the same reason that Carmen is the main objective we must use everything that is in our favor." Josh said in a harsh tone. "I don't care if I have to use that little girl."
     "You won't." I say looking him dead in the eye.
     "Excuse me?" Josh asked raising an eyebrow.
     "Beca what are you doing?" Amy asked trying to pull me away from Josh.
     "I said you won't use Chloe." This is the first time I have ever said no to Josh. "The last time you tried to Chloe into your whole thing with Carmen, she increased security and sent your little spy to jail."
     "How do you-" Josh spoke with a hint of panic in his voice.
     "How do I know?" I Ask finishing his sentence. "I'm your private investigator. I know everything. Stay away from her."
     "It seems that someone's got a new friend." Josh said regaining is composure.
     "I think we should cool down and-" Amy said trying to cut it but failed when Josh spoke.
     "Listen to me very carefully because I will not repeat this again." Josh said looking me dead in the eye.
