I brought Chloe to a place that could look over the entire campus. It was quite and you could see the stars glistening up in the sky.
"The view is so beautiful." Chloe said in aw of the lights from campus. "How did you find this place?"
"I needed to think so I found this place." I said shrugging my shoulders. "It's like my special place."
"Am I special for you bringing me here?" Chloe asked shyly fidgeting with her hands.
"You are." I said smirking at her.
"Can I ask you something?" Chloe said becoming more serious.
"You already did." I said trying to lighten the mood.
"Is it hard?" Chloe asked. "To live without your family?"
"Wh-" I was cut of by Chloe said apologizing.
"Sorry! I didn't want to make you uncomfortable." Chloe quickly said.
"Why do you ask me that?" I say giving her a questioning look.
"I like- I like getting to know you." Chloe said looking at her hands.
For a moment I just had a blank expression on my face as I was debating on if I should really let her in. After a few minutes I decided to speak up.
"Some days it's hard, other days... the feeling disappears and that's when I'm grateful." I said sadly.
"You don't visit them?" Chloe asked barley above a whisper.
"My mom and my sister, sometimes only when it's an emergency or something really important." I say.
"I miss my old life." Chloe said looking out at the buildings.
"What do you mean?" I say furrowing my eye brows.
"Sometimes, I want things to go back to how they were before. Before there was a threat, where I was just a normal girl and there were no people watching me all the time." Chloe said sadly. "Where I could talk about anything with my mom, where there was no fear. Have you ever wanted to change things? So what you want on your own terms and not the terms of other people?"
I just look into her eyes. I tend to get lost in them all to easily. Then I think back to something that josh had said to me.
————————————————————
"I don't care how you handle the situation, I'm only interested in everything she knows about Carmen. Just remember, never get attached to someone in this job." Josh said sternly. "If your going to work for me, you have to follow my rules without protesting."

I think about Chloe's previous question then I think about how amazing life would be.
"Sometimes." I say looking out at the view.
"I have another question!" Chloe said in a much happier manner. "What's your dream job?"
"Question time is over." I say while chuckling at her child like tone. "We should go, I don't want you to get in trouble."
"Answer me, and then we can go." Chloe said while crossing her arms.
"Music producer." I say with an exaggerated sigh.
"I knew it!" Chloe said excitedly. "What's your-" I quickly cute her off so we could get going.
"Ask me all the questions you want in the car!" I say with a laugh.
