36- The Last Meeting

I just arrived at our meeting point that Josh set yesterday. For the first time in my life I am scared to meet with Josh. He wants me to kill the love of my life. I can't do that. I walk into the room we were talking in the other day and see that Josh was already standing there waiting for me.
"There you are." Josh said sounding calm, cool, and collected. "I thought I'd have to send Beth, just in case you betrayed me again. Where is Beale?" I just look at him with my resting bitch face. "Beca?"
"I should say it's a nice place but it's the same garbage dump fro years ago." Carmen said as she walked into the room. "You should have done some remodeling."
"What the fuck does this mean?" Josh asked with venom in his voice. "I ordered you to kill Chloe."
"Change of plans." I say in a calm voice as I tilt my head with a smirk playing on my lips. "Since I started working for you, you started to tell me that that thanks to you I'm still alive."
"You wouldn't have survived a year by yourself." Josh said with hatred evident in his voice.
"Maybe your right, but I wasn't living ether." I say while shaking my head. "I was just a robot guided by your stupid rules. But now I know that I am much more than that. And I'm going to start living, I will be free. We are going to be free, and you will be in jail."
"Jail. You have no proof." Josh said with a scoff thinking it would be impossible.
"That where you're wrong." Chloe said as she walked in. Josh looked at her confused. "Beca?"
"Got it." I say looking down at one of my buttons on my shirt. "Smile to the camera."
Josh looked at use with a stare that says 'you got to be kidding me.' I could tell he was starting to panic.
"It's funny isn't it? Your own daughter." I say with my classic smirk. "You shouldn't have underestimated Chloe. Thanks to her brilliant mind, we have the recording of the cameras of my house when Beth attacked ma and your confirmation of the attack."
"And the statement that you ordered to kill your own daughter." Carmen added with her arms crossed.
"I just want you back Carmen." Josh said almost sounding broken.
"Please Josh, you want me because together we make a lot of money." Carmen said sounding far more broken that Josh. "You blame Chloe for being the reason I walked away from you, but, in fact, you were the one who pulled me away first."
We are now able to hear the sounds of sirens from out side the house. It's all almost over.
"And look at what you've become." Chloe said in a sad tone almost sounding apologetic.
"You stupid price of-" Josh starts to approach Chloe but I quickly pull out a gun to defend her.
"Stay away from her." I say cutting him off before he could finish his sentence as I walk in front of Chloe.
"If I go to jail, you will come with me." Josh said in a violent tone.
"Yeah... I don't think so." I say with a cocky smirk. "Carmen was in charge of talking to the police about my case. Have fun in jail. Goodbye Josh."
