16- As You Wish

I was sitting in Chloe's back yard around a bonfire when I finally decided to speak up.
"Nice house." I say rather awkwardly.
"Thank you." Chloe said as awkward as I was.
For a moment I we just stare at each other in silence. Then I decided to end the silence by speaking up again.
"Please don't be mad." I say with a hint of sadness.
"I'm not mad at you, I got the message." Chloe reassured me. "I don't want things to be awkward between us."
"I'm sorry." I say looking at may hands that were resting in my lap.
"That's even worse." Chloe said looking down as well.
"No no. Listen to me, I don't know what to do in these situations, okay?" I ask trying to explain. "I've never had a relationship, a serious relationship. I don't know what to do or what to say. But I'll try now" I continue while taking a deep breath. "I like you." I date plainly. "A lot." I. Let out a light chuckle. "I think I'm going crazy because you're stuck in my head all the time, and it scares me. I never thought that after leaving my family I would miss someone again or miss their warmth, their smile, I don't want to loose anyone again." I turn my body and look Chloe in the eyes. "But I can't help feel this way with you."
Chloe had tears in her eyes. When I saw this my eyes started to tease up. For the first time in a long while I let myself be venerable.
"So... what do you say?" I ask nervously. "We can stand dating and those things. We can go slowly."
Chloe just grabbed my hand and I Seward they fit together like puzzle pieces. I look at our hands for a moment before I looked up at Chloe. I have her a small smile and she beamed back at me.
"I would love to." Chloe said with a huge smile on her face.
"Also don't try to talk to me by hints, I'm not very good at it." I say with a smile. "Miss 'I'm not mad at you'"
Chloe was still smiling like an idiot when I said this. She just giggled at me.
"Okay." Chloe said in a soft voice.
"Okay." I echo while using the same soft tone of voice.
"Can we sing in front of the bonfire!" Chloe suddenly asked with the excitement of a three year old.
"As you wish." I say quoting Westly from the princess bride still smiling. Chloe is my Princess Buttercup.
