I was sitting in the car driving to the supermarket with Alice. This was the first time I had gone outside since I was attacked.
"You didn't have to come with me, it was just the supermarket." Alice said while looking at the road.
"I've spent enough time at home, I needed some air." I say simply so I could still focus on driving.
"I never imagined that you would leave Josh." Alice said trying to make conversation. "You must really love this girl."
"I do." I say simply still focusing on the road so I don't crash but I was also distracted by something else.
"You okay, kid?" Alice asked taking note of my checked out behavior.
"I don't know what I'm gonna do when she knows the truth." I say sadly while quickly looking over at her. "I don't give a carp about what people think about me, but Chloe... she's different. I can't loose her."
If she's the one for you, she'll stay despite your fucking story." Alice said reassuring me in her own way.
"I hope so." I say as I start to focus on my driving once more.
We had finally arrived back home and we grabbed all of the groceries and brought them inside. When we opened the door we were greeted by my mother.
"You came just in time." My mom said in her usual cool tone. "We have a guest."
"You must be kidding." Alice said while crossing her arms and leaning against the wall. "Oh"
I just walked into the house with all of the groceries no thanks to my sisters help.
"Mom?" I start walking towards the room where everyone was. "There's a car outside the-"
I cut myself off as soon as I saw who was visiting. The car looked familiar and now I know why. I just looked at them for awhile out of shock.
"We'll leave you two alone." My mom said standing from her chair and pushing Alice out of the room. Once they left I spoke up.
"You're not supposed to be here." I say while walking over to the couch and sitting down.
"We're supposed to tell each other everything, aren't we?" Chloe asked me while she joined me in the couch. I look at her feeling nothing but guilt. "Aubrey and Amy told me the truth. That you worked for him. You were his spy, you arrived at Barden on a mission."
"I'm so... so sorry." I apologized with my voice breaking as I start to cry.
"No don't do that." Chloe said. I then started bracing myself for the worst. "I want to tell you how angry I am, but I see you and... I just feel relieved that you're okay."
"Everything I said, I really mean it." I say with watery eyes. "How I feel about you, our moments. I wanted to tell you the truth so many times, but I couldn't. Your mom told me not to. And I... I was afraid to tell you who I really am, because you might not like who I am. And it's all I have."
"Becs, I love you. And I don't want more lies." Chloe said on the verge of tears. "No more secrets."
I can do that." I say nodding with a small smile playing on my lips.
But you need all those things." Chloe said in such a broken tone that I never want to hear again.
I need you more." I say crying again. I always want to have her in my life.
After I said this Chloe immediately leaned in and kissed me. I immediately kiss back. We do this all the time and every single time I still get butterflies whenever we do.
"Don't ever scare me like that again." Chloe said through tears.
"I'll do my best." I say with a small smile. "So what are we gonna no now?"
"Let's take that asshole down." Chloe said like it was the most obvious thing in the entire world.
