Chapter Five

       Enjolras walked into the room where Eponine lay asleep. He sat down next to the bed and grabbed her hand. Her eyes opened.

       "Can I leave now?" she mumbled.

       "Soon, very soon." Enjolras voice was soft. Eponine attempted to stand but failed. For the first time in her life she felt helpless. Everything was falling apart in her life. Ever since her family lost the inn her life started to crumble. Enjolras turned toward the door as Joly walked in.

        " Ah you're awake yet again! I need to clean that scrape on your head if you don't mind and tell me when you feel strong enough to walk, then you may leave." Joly smiled. He grabbed the bandage and pulled it off of her head. She lay there as he slowly patted the cut with warm water. Her eyelids got very heavy. She relinquished Enolras hand and fell unconscious.

Days past and Eponine was at the home of the girl that Marius had tripped. She called for Marius.

       "Oh, Eponine! Thank you!"

All of the sudden Eponine remembered what who the father was. That man! I know him, he was the man that took Cosette! All of sudden her heart started to race. The blonde girl is Cosette. Marius is in love with the girl that worked for us at the inn. Eponine suddenly was in pain again. Her heart seemed to stop.

         "Marius, I think I should leave you two." After speaking, she took off flying.
