Chapter 14

(Holly's P.O.V)

I sat across from Luke, He wore his plain white tee and shorts with his black snapback. His favorite. He carried on glaring at me with his bright blue eyes. What's his problem? I was wrapped in a thin blanket, I were freezing. I bet I looked crazy because the guys were complaining of how hot is was. Ashton went home a while ago... thinking of him gave me shivers. Why do I feel like this? I spin my phone around in my hands gaining and gaining notifications from Emily and Charlie, "Meet me at mine at 3." I text into our group chat. It was only 2PM and really early to do anything.

The keys rattled in the door. Shit. Liz. "Hey dudes and dudette!" She said as she walked through to the living room. She's being about cool about this. Why is she being cool about this?

"Hey." I say. Hoping for a telling off.

"Holly come to the dining room." My heart rate beats faster, I swallow the gulp in my throat and look back the guys who were sniggering at me. Dicks.

I step into the dining room slowly, still holding the blanket in my hands. Liz pats the chair asking me to sit. So awkward. I sit down, trying not to make eye contact with her crossing my legs on the chair.

"Are you cold?" She asks.

"A little."

"Babe, what happened? At school I mean."

"Nothing."

"You don't have to hide anything from me. Now, what's happened?"

"This girl and her group of her friends." I sigh.

"What about them?"

"Just annoying as f..."

"You can swear! I won't say anything." She says. My mouth almost fell open. Stunned. She was so nice and different to my mum, yet they had been best friends since forever. How did this happen? "Do they say anything to you?"

"No. Just from afar, but today she had to come up to me and start about her nostalgic thoughts."

"Nostalgic thoughts?"

"This girl..."

"Ava right? I met her at the school, but I needed your side of the story."

"She used to go out with James and then tackled me to the ground and started yelling at me how I was the reason of their break up and crap like that so I told her to shut up and it doesn't matter because..."

"Because?" My voice begins to crackle up. "O honey I'm sorry!" She pulls me into a hug and I hide my face into the blanket, hiding my face and try to wipe my tears.

"Sorry, I feel so stupid. Like all of it was so stupid and I just ran away from it."

"It's okay honey! You've gone through a lot past these couple of weeks and nobody can judge you for that." She says cuddling me. "I met your homeroom teacher, she tells me you're a bright one! Got a B for your science?"

"O yeah. I didn't know they thought that about me."

"Well show me!" I get up from my chair and go into the living room, my eyes probably red and I felt them to be a little puffy. Luke, Ben and Jack looked up from the t.v and their eyes followed me I went to my bag to grab my paper.

"Okay?" Luke asks. I bite my lip and nod trying not to sob again thinking of everything.

I walk back into the dining room and show Liz my paper, "I'm so proud of you." She says, glimmering her eyes at me. "Now work these B's to A's because I know you can do it!"
