Bars aren't my thing, but I thought going out would be nice. There was a bar downtown called Illusions. I'm currently sitting on a barstool next to Madison. She dressed much nicer than I did. All I did was change into some day-time casuals.

The female bartender brought me my drink, and I slid her a tip. She smiled before winking at me.

"She's cute," Madison said, finishing hers. "What do you think?"

"I'm not single," I said, sipping my martini. "I'm your wing woman, and also the driver."

"You haven't changed, same old Charlotte. You've never let loose before."

"I don't go to bars," I chuckled, taking another sip.

"Well, do you want anything else, I'll head over to the bartender and ask for another drink," Madison said.

"Be careful."

"So, where'd your friend go?" I heard and looked over to see the woman I tipped.

"Over there, grabbing more," I said, finishing my martini.

"Would you like another one? It's on me," she smiled.

"Thanks, but no thanks. Can I get water instead?"

"Sure," she said, leaving and coming right back with a glass, "Here you go."

"Thank you." I handed her the money, but she shook her head.

"It's on me. I'm Sabrina," she introduced. The name rolled off her tongue and sounded like an Australian accent.

"Charlotte," I smiled, shaking her hand.

I watch her look over at Madison, "She seems to be having fun."

I sighed, "Yeah, it looks like it," I said, watching Madison talk with a girl sitting at the stool.

"So, I assume you're here to watch over her?" She asked, and I nodded, "Such a good friend. Well, I'm off the clock, so if you'd like some company, I can stick around. Nothing fancy, just thought you'd like someone to talk to," she said.

"Sure, why not," I smiled.

"I'll be back. I need to clock out," Sabrina smiled.

When she came back, she next to me. I watched as she released her hair from her ponytail, running a hand through her black curls.

"How long have you worked here?"

"Two years," she said. "How about you? Where do you work?"

"At a high school. I'm a teacher," I said.

She nodded, drinking a soda as we looked over at Madison, who was laughing. I watched her look over, and our eyes met. Madison motions me over, but I shook my head. She rolled her eyes and excused herself for a second and walked towards me.

"Hey, come over and join me," she said.

"I'm good here." Madison looked over at the woman sitting next to me. She took a finger and pointed back and forth.

"I was just keeping her company. Nothing was going on," Sabrina said, "Well, it looks like your friend decided she wants you to join in on the fun. I'm going to head. I'll hopefully see you two around sometime. Bye, Charlotte."

"Bye, Sabrina," I waved, and Madison looked at me. "What?"

"She's totally into you," Madison smirked.
