I am waiting for Suzy to come over. I already texted her and waiting to respond. She must be here now by then. This day will be announced about our internship. Everyone already designated their tasks, and Mr. Leung introduced someone from West Valley Camp.

"Since Suzy is not here yet, the last one is Keely Clements, here is Drayden Hendry. He's from the Painters Club, and since arts are one of your majors, he could help you.''

I looked in the guy's direction. We exchanged glances. Stared at my phone in disbelief. I'm just really sick with this arrangement, it must be Suzy. I will be sent to the music club so my brother Hale would be my mentor, and I could play the piano and guitar. But here it is Leaned back in my chair. Everyone is excited but I need to spend my whole week with that guy.  I looked at him again, and realize that he has a perfectly shaped nose, nice, reddish lips. I gazed at Drayden and thought that he seemed like such a nice guy.

The bell rings and met Suzy and now she came to school late, skipped her first class.

''What's the matter?'' She asked.

I let out a deep breath.

"Nothing. I was sent to the Painters club,-''

I paused.

''And?'' She asked again.

''You will be sent to music, with my brother.''

''Really? Oh my god.'' She mumbled. ''And that means we have a chance to hang out, go to other places, and spent my days with Hale.''

She says daydreaming when a guy called out. I saw the guy from the Painters club.

''Hey.'' He approached, looked at him curiously. ''Would you like to crash at my house tonight?''

''Why would I? You want me to go to your house just us two?'' I say, and dreaded while both of us were standing while students passed by. ''You're such a dickhead.''

''No, that's not what I mean.'' He replied in a quiet voice. ''Because I want you to see my pieces of art?''

We headed to his house after rode together, took out his keys. I think he lives alone. I texted my brother Miles that I would go home late.

He let me in, turn on the lights. I stared up at the ceiling and looked around. His place is a mess, he moved quickly to placed things away.

''I'm sorry. I hadn't clean it up yet.'' He mumbled.

''You only live by yourself?'' I asked.

''No, I am with my friend Nicholas. But he isn't here. He will be coming home late.''

Drayden went to the kitchen, and have some refills. He handed me a lemon juice.

''Here.'' He says, as he opens another door. Full of stuff, and took away the blanket which covers from the canvas.

''You made all of this?" I say sounded astonishing.

He gives me a nod. ''Yea,''

I touched those canvas and was amazed by the portrait.

''It's beautiful. Don't know how talented you are.'' I muttered, without throwing a glance.

''Thank you for so much compliment.'' I heard him giggled.

''You're such a great artist.''

We sat down, as we already talked much about his great sense of humor. He is such a nice guy. The traces of his reddish lips, and the good set of his teeth. His eyes are alluring.

He never talks about his personal life and doesn't want to ask because he might think it might be rude. At some point, I feel comfortable when I get to know more of him.

An hour passed, he brought me home and Miles and Jeffrey were standing next to each other. Hale is with my best friend Suzy, they spent time because he has been part of her internship instead of myself.

They saw us together. They looked at me questioningly if who is the guy I am with. Drayden went off and told my brothers that he was just a friend. He is just helping me in my internship at school for a week.

I went downstairs the day after. Met my brother Miles, using his laptop. Jeffrey and Hale weren't around and have some important itineraries to go on with their lives.

He called out. I approached him and stared at him incredulously.

''What is that name of the guy who brought you here last night?''

''Drayden? And what's that up to you?'' I muttered.

''You're nineteen, and guys at school were paying attention to you. I was just saying I promised mom and dad to take care of you. Don't want you to get hurt by anyone else.''

''You know what we're not dating,'' I say.

''Maybe we could have some dinner with him.''

Having like them is like your an eight-year-old girl who needs to babysit. Maybe they are just concern about it. Hale and Suzy went out on weekends, and she tries to chase him. Jeffrey is on his basketball practice for the upcoming big game of his team. Miles needs in the hospital for surgery with one of his patients.

I texted Suzy to meet me at the park but tells me that she was busy with her sister's drama. I stared into space. I turned my glance to those joggers running around the field.

''Keely?''

A voice called out. I looked around and saw Drayden.

''Hey.'' I smiled.

''What are you up to?'' He asked.

''Nothing. I'm trying to lessen my stress and to take out my boredom.''

I had a glance at my phone it's 5 p.m.

''I don't know you're a runner now,'' I mumbled.

''Yea, I'm with Nicholas. I had forgotten my exercise these past few days, and I think it is a good idea to do it now.'' He commented.

''You know that running reduces your risk for heart disease and also helps you improve your heart health and immune system,'' I say.

''Woah, so what now you're a heart expert?'' He asked, and my eyes get squint because of the sunlight.

''No, I have learned it from Miles. He is a heart surgeon.''

''Well thank you.'' He said with a smile.

His friend rushing towards him.

''Hey by the way this is Keely, you haven't met yet. But she is clever and passionate.'' He introduced me to him.

Nicholas always crashing the gym. He burned fats turn into muscles. I throw him a smile. Drayden had to take a rest and sat down next to me. Carried his bottled water and drinks it.

His friend went off as he continues to jogged again. We gaze over the park, he looked up at me.

''Did you know that I won first place in a marathon when I was in high school.'' He says. ''But unfortunately, my team have to replace me because I was sabotage, and that was my last run.''

We both sit for a few minutes. The thing about him is the words sounded thoughtful, that Drayden Hendry was more than the reason I want to get to know him. He perked up at me and smiled.
