Chapter 9

We are preparing for the upcoming midterm exam. Sitting in the lunchroom. Noah came over with Jules and Daniels. They are Jeffrey's friends. Suzy used to crash at my home to review every exam.

She thought that I and Drayden really dated the last time I told her about her. Noah brushing his hair through his fingers.

''I should go with you. Need to pass the quarter exams before finals. I think I missed everything.'' He announced.

"Okay. But you should treat us pizzas and soda.'' Suzy says.

Noah got up to my house while waiting for Suzy to come over. She told me to go ahead, and already reached our house but still waiting for her. Something came up. He gazes his eyes around.

''Where's Miles?''

The house seems quite like he never used to because my brothers aren't around. I placed my bag on the couch and took off his jacket.

I tried to ditch him, but I knew he wouldn't have stopped me if I won't allow him to stay. Took out my books, and Noah moving glances. He went out of the bathroom, and he's soaked.

''Who told you to take a shower?'' I say, his body scattered. Getting dry his hair. I almost figure it out. His broad shoulders, and hard biceps. Bit his lip.

"I felt sticky because I played soccer practice earlier.'' He says, his dimple pronounce.

''Get a dress, we're running out of time. You need still to catch up.''

''Why aren't you still used to see my biceps and perpendicular abs.''

I grinned.

''And you owe me, Miles told me that you need to teach me for the midterms after ditching me when you left me drunk and didn't saw you after that. By the way, where have you been that time?''

I take a short flashback, remember when I met Drayden he was drinking alone? Noah gets totally drunk, and he has been scooped by his friends and brought him home and I go with Drayden that night after school. I totally messed him up, - though unintentionally forward, we talked that night.

It's past 9 pm, and Noah isn't strenuous to teach him. But suddenly heavy rains pour down. Noah told me that if he could stay and he could leave after the rain kicked off. We have finished studying lessons.

Several hours passed but the rain still didn't stop. Finally, he decided to stay over and go early tomorrow. He might have missed his morning class. I was just looking at the ceiling and still raining. I woke up from a deep sleep, and I went up and remembered Birkett.

And heading downstairs, met Miles cooks for breakfast.

''Seems like you and Noah spent the rest of the night together.'' He mumbled.

I even squeezed my eyes because I was still sleepy.

''I grab the fresh milk, and pour it in the glass.''

He served me breakfast.

''Everybody is excited who will be Noah's date for the Valentine ball next week.'' Suzy muttered, ''And Hale would going to play.''

''Maybe I shouldn't come. You know I am not interested in that kind of special occasion. You know that I missed spring dance last year.'' I say.

''Don't be such an asshole! You need to get time for this, and besides, I know that Painters club is invited so that means Drayden will going to be there.'' She muttered as we wait for our next class resume.

The next thing when I woke up from the day after midterm exams, I took Suzy to jog in the field. I feel like I needed it to burn out the stress that caused it the previous day.
