It's been two weeks since I haven't been in touch with Suzy. I ignore her shadows in the hallway at school. Maybe it could be better like this. We didn't talk. I tried to mingle with others during lunch. Suzy was at the other table.
Hale told me that Suzy is ignoring him these past few days. He should be. But our paths crossways during our P.E class and we're in pairs though I didn't expect her to be kind because I know she never will after the last time.
I glared, and like she never exists.
''You seem to like having bad blood with your best friend.'' Noah showed up and sat down across.
He scooped my blueberry cheesecake and placed it over his mouth. Brushing his hair through his fingers.
''Nothing,'' I say between my deep breath. ''You know best friends misunderstand.''
''Our team would have a party later after school, you should come to the open club,'' He says twisting his fork over the plate.
Noah and I rode together at the open club after class. My brother Jeffrey was there so no need to worry. I get into the restroom to pee. I stood up, and excuse myself to Noah.
After I went out, noticed Drayden sitting alone drinking. He approached and toss a glass. I got up to his table, while Noah is occupied with his teammates. He missed that I am missing around.
''Hey,'' I say. ''You're all alone?''
He nods.
I decided to sit at his table.
'You're with Birkett?'' He asked.
''Yea, I was off-guarded with brother Jeffrey. How are you?''
''Fine.'' He mumbled. ''You can go back, Noah will miss your space.''
His blissful grins, smiles that seemed flattering. It was like what he had, pleading for both of us. I go back to the table and allow me to take a look at him even deeper. He was different from the person I used to associate with. That habit.
I decided to train myself to understand things. Understand opportunities, but you know there are more, in the point where I admire him that seems to be dominant.
It's Thursday, dropped out some books from my locker. Noah and I rode to school together, he picks me up at my house. I started walking and heading to my next class.
I noticed Suzy arguing with some girl, stepped toward her so I could barely hear what they are up to.
''You are stealing my boyfriend. Maybe you don't know that I am his girlfriend, that Wes Hicks is owned by somebody now.'' A group of girls saying rude to Suzy.
One of them stepped and glared a look. Get a grip Keely, stop staring.
''I don't know, and I am not stealing anyone from you.'' Suzy grinning.
''What are you doing?'' I say, has gradually interrupted them.
''Who are you?'' The girl called out.
"I am her best friend. Maybe you should go. Because she is dating Hale. So I think she has no reasons to deal with your stupid accusations.'' I muttered.
Suzy had a glance. I took her hand.
''What is happening here?'' Noah came over.
''Nothing,'' I announced, smiled, and stares a glared look at those girls.
The girls went off, maybe they have scurried.
''Thanks,'' Suzy says without throwing a glance. ''And I am sorry.''
