I can't sleep. I open my curtain and look around for something to do. I find a white square on the ceiling, it looks like it will open. I quietly get out of my bunk and I put one leg on my bunk trying to push myself up towards the ceiling. I open the white thing and climb out. It was difficult and it took some time and effort but I made it out. I laid on the roof looking at the stars. After probably about 30 minutes I hear a weird sound I get up and I see Corbyn halfway sticking out of the hole in the roof.

"Need some help?" I ask, trying not to laugh. He is stuck.

"Yes," he says. I go to him and try to pull him up. Finally I get him onto the roof. "How did you do it so easily?"

"I don't know. How long were you trying to get up here?"

"I saw you go up and as soon as you go through I tried." We laugh. I lay down like I was before and he lays next to me.

"Aren't the stars beautiful?" I say after a moment of silence.

"Ya, it really puts things into perspective when you see all the stars. Did you know every star you see in the sky is bigger and brighter than the sun?"

"Did you know stars twinkle."

"That's actually false, stars don't twinkle."

"Wow Wikipedia lied, that is shocking."

We lay in silence looking at the stars. Thinking about life. After being there for a long time it started to sprinkle.

"We should probably go in." Corbyn says sitting up.

"But I like the rain." I say.

"No you'll get sick."

"Fine lets go. Wait!" I take off my shoes and throw them down. "I have to protect them."

"There worn out old shoes, why don't you get a new pair."

"Because my wonderful red shoes are the best."

He wanted to go first so he could catch me if I fell. He slowly drops into the bus. The rain was making it slippery. I slip and fall on the roof.

"Are you ok?" He asks concerned.

"Ya i'm good." I say getting up. I think i'm going to have a bruise on my arm. I drop through the hole with a little help.

"What happened?" he asks once i'm back in the bus.

"I slipped but I'm fine." I say. I close the hatch. "good night."

"Good night." He says back. We both go back to our bunks. I look at my arm and I was right there is a bruise.
