We need wood because we have to make a fire to cook dinner. Were eating hotdogs. Me and Corbyn were sent off to get wood. We get a few pieces when Corbyn picked up a fake flower.
"A flower for a pretty lady." He says handing it to me.
"How did this get all the way up here?" I say taking it.
"Maybe it wanted to get back to nature."
"Would you want to be a fake flower? You stay the same, you never truly die."
"But you can't grow and sometimes death can be used for good."
"Do you think love lasts long as flowers?"
"For some maybe it last as long as a fake flower. But for others it's like a real flower, it dies in a week."
"What about friendships?"
"I think they are all like fake flowers. They last forever, maybe it gets wrecked and trampled and pieces fall off but it's always there."
"Are you guys getting wood or frolicking with Bambi?" Eben yells out. We grab some more wood and head back.
We start a fire and start cooking the hotdogs. Someone dropped there's into the fire, by someone I mean me. What we all make mistakes. Were telling stories around the fire. This is so much fun. After we all go into our tents and get ready for bed.
"Be careful there may be bears that attack you at night." Zach yells out from his tent.
"With how much you guys stink there's no bears for 100 miles." I yell at their tent.
"There are no bears at all in this state." Jonah informs us.
"Well it's good to be prepared." Zach says.
"Wow you're such a good scout." Corbyn says.
"You guys need to be quiet, I'm trying to sleep over here." I say laughing.
"Oh wow the princess needs her beauty rest." One of the boys say. Sometimes it's hard to tell who's talking.
"Good night." I tell them they all say it back.
