A Break

Today's the day! We get a break. We can do anything. It's early in the morning I got up early just so I could sneak out with some boys of course. I wanna see the town, do something. I try to wake Jack but that's of no use. I also try Daniel. Jonah hasn't been feeling good so I leave him alone. Finally I get Corbyn and Zach awake. I lead them quietly out of the bus. Once we're far enough away we start talking.

"Whats happening?" Zach asks "Is this a secret Society?"

"No Zach we're going to see the city." I say. "Come on!" I run a bit and they follow. We got to this beautiful spot and we watch the sunrise. It was beautiful. Of course we took some photos. Once the sun was fully up we started walking and talking. Both boys keep putting their arms over my shoulder. We watched shops starting to open.

"Let's go in here!" Corbyn says excitedly.

"The gas station?" I ask laughing as he nods. We go in. I pull Zach so we go away from Corbyn. He was determined to find something so he didn't notice.

"We need to prank the boys." I tell him. We look around and find some stuff. "You buy the stuff I'm going to go find Corbyn." I say leaving him.

"Sure babe." He says walking to the register.

I look around but he's nowhere to be seen. I walk around and find him standing on a cup for a slurpee there's blue slurpee everywhere.

"My shoes," Corbyn says. Nothings on then now but they will be a mess when he moves. He looks like he's about to cry. He really loves his shoes.

"You boys kill me." I say stepping into the blue to get to him. My shoes sacrificing their life for him. When I get to him I turn so my back is facing him. I get ready then he jumps on my back. I give him a piggyback ride to a safe area.

"I'm suing you. I think you broke my back." I say bent over.

"Thank you best friend you saved my life today." He says looking over his shoes to make sure nothings on it.

"Don't mention it." I say slowly starting to walk to where Zach is. I'm walking like an old man.

"What happened to you?" Zach asked.

"Let's go." I say. We leave and we walk down the street more places are open now. I can feel the slurpees in my shoe. I have enough. I take off my shoes and socks and we get a bag from the store. I put them in and make Corbyn carry it.

Next we go into a cute anteach shop. We separate to look around.

"Be careful how many hearts you break." Someone says I turn and it's an old lady. She's hidden. There's a younger lady walking around who probably owns the place.

"What do you mean?" I ask walking over.

"Falling in love is a dangerous game."

"Hey Amor we need to go back to the bus, the plan changed we're driving today." Corbyn says speed walking to me.

"Bye," I say to the old lady we get Zach and start walking out.

"Shoes!" The younger lady yells, running at us with the brom. We bolt out the door.

"Split!" I say as she keeps chasing us. We all go different directioning. I look to see who she's chasing but she's going a different way then all of us. She walked up to a car and started talking. We are so dumb.

"Next time wear shoes." Zach says, We regroup and walk back to the bus. When we entered the bus everyone looked concerned.

"Where have you been? And where's your shoes?" Eben asks.

"We were exploring the town." I say. I take the bag with my shoes and go to the sink. I start trying to rence out the blue.

"Sounded like you guys had fun." Jack says shocking me I didn't know he was there. He sounds sad.

"Ya it was fun. Don't tell anyone but I tried to wake you up first." I say. He looked happy then sad. "Don't worry there's plenty more adventures to go on."
