„Wow Finnik really went all out here, look at those bottles. Is that fire whiskey?"
„Yup, when it comes to alcohol my brother is really experienced. Wheres Severus?"
Lily sighed.
„We fought again and it was really bad. He's mad about the time we've been spending with the marauders."
When Lily looked down at her feet, Marlene grabbed her chin.
„We are not sad today Lily, today is a happy day. You and I will get drunk tonight and tomorrow we will be sad alright?"
She couldn't help but smile as her friend tried to cheer her up.
„Alright let's get drunk."
„Lead the way Evans."
(Lilys PoV)
7 September 1975
Almost two hours later Lily and Marlene were screaming along to the song 'Mama Mia' from some muggle band called ABBA. Lily knew her aunt was a big fan of them and sang while dancing with Marlene. When it ended they sat down at a table next to the dance floor and Sirius and James came to them.
„Hey Ladies", James said with a charming smile then took a closer look at Lily.
„Pretty hammered, aren't we Evans?"
He sounded very amused.
„Like you could judge?"
Sirius stepped between them.
„You will have to turn the flirting down for a minute cause we have to present our gift. Just imagine Remus and Peter here, they are somewhere here but I couldn't find them."
He handed Marlene a present, badly wrapped in, what Lily believed, was the daily prophet from last week.
„Good, I was already planning to kick you out because you didn't give me one."
Marlene smirked at Sirius who grinned back at her. She unwrapped the gift and inside was a polaroid camera.
„So you can take those weird muggle pictures at all times."
Sirius gave her a look, unsure if she like it but she smiled.
„Let's try it!"
Lily jumped of her chair and struggled a little. Wow, that were about three shots of fire whiskey to much. James laughed at her once more and she playfully punched him. He held his hands up in surrender but was still laughing. 'What an idiot' she thought. 'But kind of a cute one'. Ok stop she was really drunk.
„Everyone get on the dance floor, I'll take the picture."
Finally Remus and Peter appeared too and Lily took the camera.
„You are boring, do a cool pose", she said.
Suddenly Sirius picked Marlene up and threw her over his shoulder. Lily took the picture, laughing.
„Sirius Black you let me down right the hell now."
Marlene tried to hit his lower back.
He grinned at her attempt to hurt him.
