Snapping out of her thoughts, Kalilia slowly kept the delicate bracelet on the coffee table. She placed all the falling or fallen photographs back into their places in the album and put it back on the crowded book shelf. Now, that was more like it, she thought to herself with a satisfied smile.
Just as she was about to turn around, she heard the front door open. Surpresing the quickly rising wave of panic, she gracefully turned around. She had no reason to be scared. This was her sister's appartment and she knew she was welcome anytime. Besides, she did have a very good excuse. She had to find that jewelry box. Speaking of which, she did not have all day to waste. She silently sighed, being famous and successful was so stressful at times.
Now, she refocused her attention at the intruder. Who could it be? Actually, that question had over a million answers, it could be literally anyone. She was just about to take a few footsteps when she heard heavy footsteps approaching her. Ah.. so this was a man,, she thought silently as he approached her. Now, who could it be?
"Madam Kalilia," she heard a heavy and painfuly formal voice which could belong to only one person- Perrie.
She smiled shortly and briefly at him in return.
"It appears as though you have come at the correct tim Peirre. Tell my sister to send over a gold jewelry box would you?" she replied, formaly, stripped of any emotion.
She didn't hate him. He was a good butler, he took care of Caroline oh wait, Aaliyah. So many years had gone by and she still wasn't used to it. But.. she didn't trust him fully either. There had always been something snaky almost about him but she just could not find any inciminating evidence against him. Thus, the kind, sweet act forced by both of them. She knew he did not paticularly favour her either because the feelings in fact, were mutual.
"Off course Madam. Anything else?" he asked her in the same tone.
"No, thank you and I now, will be on my way. " she replied in the same tone.
How on earth could anyone possibly be so unbelievably annoying. She snapped out of her thoughts, gave him a dazzling but dangerous smile and then, like a tiger was silently out of the door. She rode down the elevator alone and stepped out of the comforts of the glamerous building, housing the very elite of New York and on to the crowded streets of Manhatten.
Walking down, she saw a cafe and decided to get some coffee. Just then, she got a text form a friend and whipped out her lilac custom made blackberry torch and was replying when, she bumped into someone. Almost loosing her balance for the second time that day, she looked up at her victem and smiled.
"Oh do forgive me, I can be so clumsy" she said polietly.
Yeah, she wans't going to give him a smile but.. he did look vaugely familar. Why?
"Don't worry about it.. hey, wait, you look familiar" he said with a confused grin.
That was when she noticed his clothes- he was wearing faded blue torn jeans slipping off his hips, evidently with a brick colored shirt and a black jacket. He had a pair of white converse shoes and a bright green cap and a skateboard as well. He was dressed as a distateful 18 year old but looked nothing like that. In fact, he was hot. Blonde hair, blue eyes and an angular face. Now she really did feel like she knew him, from somehwhere.
"No, I don't think you do" she answered diplomatically as he simply stared at her questioningly.
She was just about to ask why he was doing so when he reached his moment of epiphany.
"Hey wait! You're Kalilia!" he announced as she raised a perfectly arched eyebrow.
Okay, who was this guy? She was getting impatient, fast.
