New Strategy

Talk about a one-sided fight, am I right? If anyone thought Cry's quirk was just all talk, then that fight would've made those people think twice about their assumptions. And, another thing to note is that Cry did not take a single step during the entire fight. He stayed in place for the whole duration. Someone with the abilities of Superman couldn't even make him move a few inches at all. But this also begs the question: Can anyone still remaining in the competition take him down? Because it's a hell of a tall order. And this next match will determine who faces him in the quarter finals. Enjoy!

-POV: Harper-

"It's all over!! Cry has defeated Lisa in an undisputed, unrivaled victory!! He advances to the quarter finals!!!" Present Mic announced as Lisa's unconscious body was carried off the battlefield and to the infirmary. 

"I know she's my nemesis and everything but.... even she didn't deserve that kind of a loss. Cry..... he's in an entirely different league than all of us. How the hell is anyone supposed to beat a quirk that strong!?" I questioned as I leaned forward against the back of my couch. 

"A quirk that lets you do whatever you want.... There's nothing that can take that down. No matter who wins any of the other matches, we're all just gonna lose to Cry. I'm not even sure All Might in his prime, or even Captain Celebrity could take him down." I said to myself as I then became curious about something. 

"What did All Might mean before the last match when he said Cry doesn't have his original quirk? How can someone just get an entirely new one?" I questioned but I really didn't have time to think about it. My first match was next and I was already up against an extremely tough opponent. Our class' assistant teacher, Jiro.

"Jiro's got a quirk that's more suited for support than combat. But, she's still a year ahead of me in experience and she was trained by Wrath Queen, just like the rest of us. I shouldn't underestimate her or her quirk. I could lose just as easily as Lisa did if i'm not careful." I thought as I took some deep breaths. I was trying to calm my nerves so it'd be easier for me to focus. 

"Come on, you can do this, you can do this. It's time to reveal your new strategy. Just gotta go out there and surprise the heck out of everyone." I said to myself as I roughly patted the sides of my head before the P.A system came on in my room. 

"Competitor Harper, please make your way to your entry gate. Your match will begin shortly." A voice said as the system then cut out. 

"Time already? *Sigh* Guess I've got no choice. Hope I can pull this off." I said to myself as I was trying so hard to raise my confidence level. But considering the fact of the line up in front of me, my chances of winning this whole thing were washing down the drain. Even if I can beat Jiro, I have an impossible task after that. Defeat Cry. 

"It's time we move on to match number 6 of our top 16!! After a rather one-sided victory for favourite and reigning champion, Cry, i'm kinda hoping this fight's a little more even, wouldn't you agree guys?" Present Mic asked his co-hosts. 

"This tournament's already decided. I just want to get out of here." Eraser Head said. 

"That last match was simply a case of a bad match-up for young miss Lisa. It was your classic rock, paper, scissors theory. Cry had the advantage in every way, giving him the clear victory. But, in terms of what you just proposed, the yes, I too hope this next match is a much more even playing field. And I cannot wait to see these two lovely ladies duke it out in the ring." All Might spoke as I arrived at my gate.
