Phobos and Daina clash once more! And Josh and Markus are now set for a true clash of the titans. We're around the halfway point of this arc and we're running low on time for the nuke. Since I forgot to include the timer at the end of the last chapter, i'll just say right now that there's 9 minutes left on it. It's really coming down to the wire and there's still 7 villains still standing. And i'm gonna be a bit of a d**k and make you wait a bit for Markus and Josh to clash. But we'll get back to them soon enough. Now, let's get right back into the action! Enjoy!
-POV: Phobos-
"I'm gonna burn you alive for kidnapping my best friend!!" I shouted as me and Daina approached each other. But having one of my knees shot was severely hindering my speed and I had to run with a limp.
"You won't have to worry about her when you're dead, kid!!" Daina yelled as she reached out to grab me with her right hand. But I leaned back just in time before she could grab me. And then I tried to capitalize by grabbing her wrist with my flaming hands. However, as I reached up to take hold of her, she bent her arm in and then slammed her elbow right into my chest, making me fall over as she knocked the wind out of me.
"Now come here!" Daina shouted as she stomped down onto my chest and kept her foot there. She then began to reach down to try and kill me.
"I said that's not gonna happen, you bitch!" I said to her as I ignited my feet and increased their output, making me slide along the floor of the barge like a bullet and making Daina fall flat onto her back. I flew right off the barge but repositioned myself so I wouldn't go straight into the water.
"Don't even think i'm close to being done with you yet!" I yelled as I flew back in and brought in both of my legs. Daina had just risen to one knee but couldn't get up further as I smashed both my legs into her chest, sending her flying across the barge and crashing her into the side of a window by the steering wheel.
"Ugh.... That ain't stoppin' me, Phobos. I don't even think you have the firepower to take me down one on one...." Daina said as she rose to her feet then placed her right arm behind her back.
"I wasn't able to go all out back then though. And if you watched the sports festival, then you know what's coming soon." I told her as she just chuckled at me.
"Yeah, I know what's coming. So i'll just have to kill you before you get there!" Daina howled as she whipped her arm around from behind her and threw a large shard of glass at me. There was enough distance between us for me to lean to my right and dodge the glass, but I made the stupid mistake of watching the glass fly past me. When I turned my head back around there was now a wrench flying for my head. It bashed right into my face and made me stagger backwards, however, I did not fall over.
"Now, it's my turn! Dodge this!!" I shouted as I thrusted both of my hands forward and unleashed two huge streams of flames at Daina. But my injured knee gave way and I fell to just one knee, making my attack slightly off point than I wanted it to be.
"I've already proven our little flames won't work on me before! But here's a reminder in case you forgot!!" Daina shouted as she held up her left hand flat out in front of her. And the moment my flames came in contact with it, she used her quirk to squash and shrink them down until my flames were fully dissipated. She then closed her hand into a fist and I watched as just a tiny spew of flames came out the sides.
"You can't use your quirk which you rely on so much, Phobos. And it looks like me shooting your knee is finally coming into effect. Just give up now. Maybe i'll let you live so you and Harper can watch as the whole city blows up." Daina offered me as I gritted my teeth and forced myself up onto my feet once more.
