Not Enough Firepower

And another villain goes down! Tika and Vergil KO Molly in an epic clash! But the timer remains ticking on that nuke. Ryan and his team have indeed been fighting Gregory off screen this whole time but we'll get to them all later. There's more villains at the building so we need to see some of them first. And, as promised at the end of the last chapter, this one will be the start of one of the highlight fights of this epic arc. Will it be Cry? Or Markus? Who's gonna be the lucky winner of having to fight first? Well you'll find out right now! Enjoy!

-POV: Lisa-

"Of all people..... why did it have to be him we got stuck with facing?" I thought to myself in absolute fear as Cry stood about 30ft away from us all. That twisted look on his face, it makes fighting him even worse for us now because he has the intention to kill now.

"I want everyone to keep your guard up at all times. And that includes you two vigilantes, understood? He has an incredibly dangerous quirk and most likely has a counter for all of us. This is no easy fight. But if we work together, then we may still win." Wrath Queen said with a mix of sadness and fear in her voice.

"Yeah, we got you. Really didn't hope it'd be this guy we had to fight though." Twilight said as she loaded up one of her guns with a full clip of some type of ammunition. 

"No matter how strong or what his quirk is, we will crush him! I am the greatest student of Gregorvsky Alpha! I am his equal in all aspect! Sergei will squash puny Cry!" Sergei said with pride as he cracked his knuckles. 

"Don't be an idiot, Sergei. I'm top student at Queen's Strong and even i'm smart enough to know I don't stand a chance alone against him. Do what Wrath Queen says, or else you're gonna get us all killed, ya twat." Trini said to him. 

"Maybe we won't need to worry at all. Twilight, let's give it a shot on him." Pein said as he suddenly started pointing at Twilight's head. 

"All of you are talking, but I see none of you coming at me. Do I have to do the honors of starting all this, or......?" Cry said, sounding a bit impatient as I remembered he always liked to go second in a fight.

"Oh, don't you worry. We're take the first and only move..." Pein said as a dark red aura began to appear around his head. He then pointed to Cry now as the aura appeared around his head as well. Cry began to grunt a bit as he brought one of his hands up to the side of his head. 

"Your quirk..... how does it work?" Wrath Queen asked him and Twilight. 

"He can take someone's pain in their memories and inflict it on someone else. But it's only really effective if that pain he's using is greater than what the victim's experienced in their life already." Twilight explained as Wrath Queen grew a face of worry. 

"Oh, that's not good..." She said. 

"What is it, what's wrong?" Twilight asked her. 

"Cry has literally died before! Which means no amount of pain any of us have can match and overcome that!" Wrath Queen shouted as Cry started to laugh. 

"Don't really know how you know that, Queen, but you're right. Which means your little pain transfer trick isn't gonna work on me. Now then, since you so kindly made the first move, allow me to follow...." Cry said as his veins began to glow purple like always. 

"Everybody, MOVE NOW!!!" Wrath Queen shouted as everyone literally dove from where they stood. A huge thunderbolt then came down where we used to be standing, blasting apart the floor and setting a fire around the hole it had left.

"How'd you know he was gonna do that?" I asked Queen as everyone got back up. 

"Because it's what I would've done if I were him. Now Lisa, I do hope you've chosen a powerful character from a book that you have confidence in." Wrath Queen said to me as I clenched my fists again and lowered my head.
