And our story is off and running! Harper and Phobos have begun their journeys through this heroic world and, well, already they've gotten into some trouble. Even with the help of class 2 resident, Amelia, they still couldn't take down a couple of thugs. So, it was lucky for them that a hero, now their teacher, appeared to save the day! And boy, is this hero something special! She and the rest of our new students will surely shine in the future of this story, you can count on it! And speaking of our new students, it's time for you all to meet them! Enjoy!
"She's our teacher!?" I questioned as me and Phobos stood in the doorway to our homeroom class, staring at the same hero who helped us at the bank before.
"Yes, it's me. Now would you two please kindly take your seats so we may finally begin. We're already 5 minutes behind thanks to you." The hero said to us as we both put our heads down and silently walked over to our seats while the entire class looked at us. Talk about awkward. There were 4 rows of desks, each containing 4 desks in them, meaning this class had a maximum of 16 students. I was seated in row 3, desk number 2. Phobos was in row 1, desk 3.
"Now that everyone is finally here we can begin. Welcome to Persevering Heights academy! The place where all of you will surely learn to become terrific heroes!" The hero said as I was caught off guard by her sudden mood change.
"Unlike other schools like U.A and Shiketsu in Japan who're looking for more power related heroes, this one's looking for students who bring versatility to the table. People who can do multiple different things to support our society and make it safe! And, after months of analyzing and testing, you 16, as well as the 16 in class 2 were chosen! Can I get an awesome Plus Ultra from you all to kick off this semester!?" Our teacher roared but everyone stayed quiet, making her look like the awkward now. And, as she just stood there silent, the girl who sat in front of me, who was also reading a comic book, raised her hand up.
"Sorry ma'am, but isn't that something they more commonly say in Japan where you come from? We don't typically say Plus Ultra here." The girl said as our teacher cleared her throat and nodded in agreement.
"How'd this girl know our teacher was from Japan? Is she some sort of know it all?" I thought as our teacher went on to continue.
"Yes, that's true. It's just that i'm a U.A alumni, so it's just a habit for me. But, i'm sure I'll get you all to say it by the end of this semester. And, in case none of you know, the term "Plus Ultra" meas to go beyond your limits. To surpass whatever lies in front of you and to achieve your goal. To shine on through the darkness. The very definition of what a hero is meant to be. And, for the next 4 years, it's my job to ensure I mold each and every one of you into the best heroes you can be. Now, before we begin, are there any questions?" Our teacher asked as everyone, including myself, simultaneously shot up their hands.
"Are there any questions that don't revolve around why i'm missing my right arm?" The teacher said to us as majority of the class, including me, put their hands back down. I was just so curious as to why her right arm was made of pure fire unlike the rest of her body. I'm sure it must've been some crazy accident on a mission or something.
"Yes, you." The teacher said, pointing to a boy at the back of the second row who still had his hand up.
"How did a hero like you end up at this school? Wouldn't it have been better to have, you know, stayed in your jurisdiction and your own country? I mean, sure, U.A got All Might for a teacher, but for a school across the seas getting another prestige's hero, that's really saying a lot." The boy asked as our teacher nodded again.
"Prestige's hero? Just who the heck is she then, and why haven't I seen her before?" I thought as our teacher cleared her throat again.
"I was offered a teaching job by U.A but their style of teaching differs from my own. So, I came to a place where I felt I fitted in best. And that just so happened to be here in Philadelphia. I haven't been to the States much in my career, so i'm also kinda hoping some of you help me out every so often." Our teacher said to us.
